Quiet & comfy queen bed bunkhouse in a beautiful corner of West Helena that is bordered by Spring Meadow State Park. Close to restaurants, laundry and groceries. The bunkhouse is situated off a courtyard where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. ***Self Check In Unit** *This allows for flexibility on check in time for our guests but also means we won't be present to meet you at arrival. If you have questions we can always be reached through the Airbnb app. :) We're adjacent to a state park and lake with easy walking access (4 minute walk). Queen, memory foam bed, separate structure with privacy and quiet, coffee maker, fridge and TV with streaming netflix. Search "mountain bike city Helena" to see more photos. NOTE: The bathroom is sometimes shared with campground guests. The bathroom is cleaned twice a day. We supply surface sanitizer wipes in the bathroom. Guests have access to the bunkhouse, bathroom(off the main house but separate from the main living space), picnic shelter/outdoor kitchen, deck and wood fired sauna. Sometimes available onsite. Local (bike to) amenities are: Spring Meadow State Park/Lake (popular for scuba) Montana Wild Archie Bray Ceramic Center Broadwater Hot Springs Mansion District. Mountain Bike Access: *Mount Helena *Mount Ascension *Scratch Gravel. Local Breweries: *Ten Mile Creek Brewery *Blackfoot River Brewing Co *Lewis & Clark Brewing Co Bike, bike, bike...our location is amazing for getting around town while avoiding cars. Helena is easy to navigate by car, traffic is minimal. We have a Trail Rider Shuttle. We offer MTB Shuttles at .60 per mile. We have the local Capital Transit. Adjacent to the property is the Centennial Bike/Walking Trail which leads into the heart of Helena one way and a quiet nature reserve the other way. We operate a campground for bikepackers called MTBCity around the bunkhouse. We welcome riders from around the world and each summer day is a pleasant surprise as new friends arrive from all corners of the world. This requires a great deal of physical work. The bunkhouse is set up for self check in. This means you don't need to interact with us or anyone else if you're concerned about COVID. It also means that we likely won't be wearing a mask or have one on us if we're digging a hole, running a wheelbarrow or mowing the grass. To comply with AirBnB's requirements in our peculiar situation you can do all communications electronically even if you see us working on the property. That being said, we built MTBCity because we love meeting new people. If you approach us maskless we'll assume that because we're outdoors etc., you're comfortable having a chat and will welcome you warmly and answer all your questions. We built Mountain Bike City for bikepackers riding the Great Divide Trail and riders coming to Helena to enjoy our internationally renowned trail system. Our desire is to maintain a basecamp for riders to rest, eat, drink and soak in our local hot springs. There's a lot here you don't know about and we're excited to share it with you! We own two acres and our closest neighbor is a state park. The bunkhouse is in the quietest corner of our property. ***Of note-we are right on the edge of town so there is a light amount of town noise during the day, quieter at night. Helena also has trains that run directly through town. We are approximately a mile away from the tracks (you can not see the trains at all) but on occasion you can hear the train horn. We supply all our guests with ear plugs in case you find it disruptive as we unfortunately can not do anything about the trains. Please see our reviews as it appears most people don't seem to notice or mind.
