Our guest house is a private detached studio apartment. Close to many local activities, including Kingdom Trails mountain biking, V.A.S.T. snowmobiling, Burke Mountain Resort and beautiful Lake Willoughby. The full kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, range with oven, toaster, coffee pot, silverware, glassware, and cookware. The bathroom has an upright shower, and full linens and towels are provided. We invite you to come stay with us and spend time seeing what Northern Vermont has to offer. Our studio-style guesthouse is perfect for couples or small families looking to get away for a vacation in a beautiful area hidden away in Northeast Vermont. Off the beaten path and named for our location on an elevation above the towns to the south, you'll find some of the best outdoor recreation in the country. Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, boating, and a glacial lake only a few minutes away from where you'll be staying. You will have the entire place to yourself, with dedicated parking and a private driveway. We keep the house clean and offer free WiFi and satellite TV. You'll have the entire studio guesthouse to available, as the building is completely detached. There is also a campfire ring in front of the guesthouse as long as you maintain control of the fire and keep it contained in the ring. We are available if assistance is needed with the house or you have questions about the area, but otherwise you'll have complete privacy Newark, VT is very rural, you'll find access to shopping and services in neighboring towns. Newark is a town of about 580 residents, with more in the summer months. It has three major ponds for boating, swimming, and fishing. In the surrounding area you'll find more opportunity for outdoor activities as well as shopping and entertainment. Please note that while AT&T and Verizon provide good cell phone service in the area, T-Mobile/Sprint and US Cellular do not offer reliable coverage. It is approximately 100 feet from the guesthouse and can accommodate several cars. At night it is lit by motion lights, see photos. We can also accommodate larger vehicles or things like boat trailers if needed, please ask for where to park. Public transportation is unavailable in the area. In the winter we highly recommend snow tires as the area usually receives a lot of snow. Our calendar is kept updated with our availability.
