You'll find all of the luxuries of home, including clean linens and towels, a fully equipped kitchen and beach items to enjoy. There is a comfy queen bed in the cozy bedroom that has mirrored wardrobe doors. For extra sleeping space, there is a sofa sleeper and air air mattress. The newly remodeled bathroom features beautiful tile and a walk-in shower with a frameless glass panel. Kihei is on the sunny side of Maui, so there is less rain than the West & North so you can enjoy your outdoor adventures. Our complex, Kihei Ali'i Kai, features a sparkling blue-tiled pool and relaxing Jacuzzi and Sauna, which are an added bonus after your Maui adventures. There is also shuffleboard and pickleball courts in the upper BBQ area above the rear parking lot. Our unit is a quiet end unit, so you'll be able to take in the serene nights and beautiful mornings as the birds chirp a greeting! You'll love the local feel of Kihei with lots of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. We are located right across from Kamaole I Beach, just steps away from a relaxing day at the beach and a swim with colorful fish and sea turtles! You'll have everything you need for a magical Maui vacation! Our complex, Kihei Alii Kai, features a sparkling pool, soothing Jacuzzi and shuffleboard! We are a short walk down the private driveway to Kamaole I Beach - one of the best white sand beaches in South Maui. You're sure to see lots of fish and turtles when you snorkel there, too! Local shopping is within walking distance and renting snorkeling gear, surfboards or even scooters is all close by. You'll be close to shopping and restaurants and feel that you have everything you need to have a wonderful Maui vacation! Although we are not located on the island, we provide personal service and respond promptly to all guest's questions and feedback. Rather than the tall high rises with tons of tourists, you'll feel like a local in Kihei. There are so many things to enjoy that are within walking distance, including beautiful Kamaole I Beach that is right across the street. We enjoy doing quick shopping at the ABC Store and a little health food grocery store nearby. Fred's and Moose McGillicuddy's is a short walk South across from Kamaole III Beach and their Taco Tuesday nights are fantastic! Moose's has one of the only bars that has a beautiful ocean view, so be sure to check it out...and their Happy Hour is awesome! Cafe O'lei is in the next center over and they offer an amazing "lunch plate" for about $12! Kihei is a special place and when you visit...be careful because you may decide that you don't want to leave!! We've always rented a car (or scooters) to motor around, so I am not sure of the public transportation availability. If you plan to tour the island, getting a car is the best way to go. We have a RING device at the front door that is a motion detector. This is a safety feature to protect our piece of paradise when the unit is vacant. We are only alerted if the doorbell is pressed, but when you need to reach us, the best way is through Airbnb, phone or text. Book Recommendation - Get the book "Maui Revealed"! It has so many hidden gems and you'll maximize your Maui vacation if you have this book. Just be sure to be respectful of the magic of Maui because locals have gotten very upset when visitors disrespect the island. Treat Maui as if it was your home and show the land the love and care you would want to see.
