The location is great, the beach is less than a 10 minute walk away, the Ala Was Canal is right at your doorstep as are many bus routes and access to H1 freeway via McCully. This property is privately owned and managed and although it is part of the Waikiki Monarch Building it is not part of the Hotel so hotel reception will not be able to assist you, I will! While the Waikiki Monarch is an older style building the studio is lovely with all the modern conveniences you would want and expect. The room will feel like your home away from home so you can enjoy your time in Hawaii. The Waikiki Monarch is about a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of the action in Waikiki. The area is safe but it is a little quieter being away from most of the big hotels. The beach is less than a 10 minute walk away, the Ala Was Canal is right at your doorstep as are many bus routes and access to H1 freeway via McCully. Ala Moana Shopping Centre is within walking distance, approximately 15 minutes but I find the tiki buses much more convenient, particularly in warmer months.
