Close to Jardín (3,5 km) but still far away enough to experience the lush countryside next to coffee plantations. Our finca is made of wood which provides a warm and charming atmosphere. It's spacious (120 m2) with a well equipped outdoor kitchen, two roofed decks with hammocks and view over Jardín. The place is ideal to lay back for some days and breathe in nature. And it's a good starting point to hike to two of the main attractions of Jardín: Cueva del Esplendor and Chorro Blanco waterfalls. The house is divided into two parts which are connected by one of the roofed decks – which, by the way, is perfecto to work or watch the hummingbirds fly by. The main part offers a living room with leather sofa (we don't have TV), a bathroom with hot shower and – next door – a sleeping room with double bed. A second "living room" is the main deck with its outdoor kitchen. The upper part of the house – the part beyond the second deck – is the home of the master sleeping room and and the main bath room. The entire house and the garden in front of it will be yours! Normally we live in the house, we rent it out only on certain days. That means we usually are in town and provide our guests with immediate help and/or advice. Sometimes we are away and travel, in this case we have a person of confidence who takes over. In any case, you are welcome to ask about this detail before you book. Our neighbors are mainly coffee farmers. There is a scenic walk with very few traffic (about 35-40 minutes) to Jardín. The finca is surrounded by coffee and banana plantations. The area is good for walking up the mountains or just the walk down to the village (35-40 minutes). Two main attractions – the Cueva del Esplendor (cave with waterfall) and Chorro Blanco waterfall – can be reached relatively easy from the house. Be aware, that it's a day hike. The house is next to the unpaved rural road, easy to find. There is usually few traffic on this road. To access the private parking we recommend a car with good space between the road and frame. Small cars can have difficulties with the ramp. The area is normally quite, coffee farmers go to bed early and get up early. But occasionally they can have parties as in any other part of town and the country.
