Welcome to the Pine Street Meadows Yurt. You will love this light, spacious 24' (452 sq ft) yurt with hardwood maple floors backed up to a small creek. This is a simple glamping yurt with ltd electricity (lights, fan, camp stove for hot water), composting toilet and sun shower. Enjoy your coffee, wildlife and trees from the south-facing deck or inside the yurt with panoramic windows. When the weather gets chilly, fire up the wood stove for cozy days and nights. Sorry, we do not allow pets. The yurt has a queen size, firm and comfortable American Leather sofa/sleeper. It will be furnished with containers for water, a jetboil for heating water for coffee in a french press (bring your favorite grounds). Cups, mugs, and tubs for washing are also provided. As there is no inside running water, a sun shower (a solar heated 5 gallon bag) will be on the deck for an outdoor shower in the Aspens. There is an outdoor spigot for water. Hang out on the deck under the sun shade and watch wildlife. Relax inside gazing out of an 8x8' window facing the creek (window covered in the colder months). A meditation pillow, stool and a yoga mat are inside. When the weather turns chilly, you will be cozy with the arctic insulation kit and the crackling fire in the wood-stove. You will park on a gravel pad between the pines and the lavender. You will find a small cart to transport your luggage the final 100' to the yurt. In general, we will be available to answer questions, make suggestions and help you plan your stay in beautiful Sandpoint. We are a four minute drive to downtown Sandpoint but nestled next to a creek on 12 acres surrounded by trees and mountains. There is excellent hiking and mountain biking minutes from our driveway. A three minute drive yields the YMCA with a pool, showers, hot tub, wet and dry sauna, as well as all exercise equipment and court sports. Enjoy Sandpoint for water sports, biking, skiing, hiking, dining, shopping, etc. We have trails right out of our driveway for hiking, biking, and skiing. The yurt is shoes off; please bring slippers, towels and toiletries. We are minutes to great trails for hiking, biking and skiing. Great single track mountain biking and hiking is literally minutes from the yurt (search for "Greta's Segueway" and "Pine Street Woods" on the trailforks app). Our 12 acres makes for a great xc ski loop or mushroom hunting stroll along the creek. There is no WiFi (enjoy being unplugged) but there is cell service (verizon). Finally, we have another cool dwelling called "The Gypsy Wagon" it is a tiny house converted from a Logging truck. This could be a great option for additional guests. In the event that the Gypsy Caravan is rented, the Loo and outdoor shower space may be shared with those guests.
