All of our quests have loved the quiet, peaceful, farm environment with the ability to interact with farm animals. We are in a rural area, yet we are within 6 -8 minutes of malls, restaurants and anything you might need. There are two steps up into the guesthouse, so it is not handicap accessible. Infants or children are welcome. The water is filtered water softener treated, well water. The kitchen does not have a full size oven, but there is one in the pavilion or our house is 15 steps away and you can use our oven. Air mattresses are available. Walmart and Target are about 8 minutes away. Other amenities include: wireless internet, TV with roko and DVD player, a/c, heat, ceiling fans, microwave, cook top stove, Crock-Pot, armoire for your use, curtains for privacy, a table and chairs, keurig coffee maker, tea and water bottles. A gas grill, gas fire pit, a ping pong table, corn hole game, kids tire swing, a brick barbecue as well as a camp fire pit in the yard, as well as a few bikes that can be available for rental ($10 each per stay). We have many board games and over 600 Dvd's that can be used during your stay. Air mattress is available if requested Our family lives on the property, we are available to assist you in anyway. You are welcome to interact with us as much or as little as you desire. Animal lovers love this place! We live on 3.5 acres of peaceful country. Nearby there are many beautiful uncrowded beaches and we have a pool (with a child safe net) for your use. Local activities for the active individuals include fishing and surfing at Sebastian Inlet (13mi), jet ski, paddle boarding, kayak canoe and boat rentals on the Indian River Lagoon (9mi), Sky Dive Sebastian offers one of the top skydiving facilites and training places in the world. If shopping is more your speed we have local shopping to include the Vero Beach Outlet Mall as well as the Indian River Mall, a nearby Walmart and Target and local shops in downtown and on Saturdays there is the Farmer's Market with local produce and other culinary goodies. Vero Beach has a range of cultural experiences as well, from the Vero Beach Museum of Art and Riverside Theatre (10min), Navy Seal Museum and multiple art galleries, the beautiful McKee gardens. Other local experiences are air boat rides (with the opportunity to see florida marsh life and alligators), citrus groves with fresh juices, ice cream and more, Pelican Island Estuary where dolphins and manatee are seen in abundance, guided tours on pontoon boats in the lagoon and of course the beautiful beaches all across the area. If food is your thing, you've come to the right place. There is an abundance of different options ranging from fresh seafood overlooking the water, to local pizza joints and the opportunity to try unique Florida things like gator tail and frog legs. If you are looking for a fun place to eat and sing karaoke we have that too. Vero Beach airport and flight schools are 15 minutes, Melbourne airport is only 45 minutes away, about 1.5 hours from Orlando International Airport. We are less than 2 hours away from, Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and many water parks, as well as Kennedy space center, Daytona, and West Palm Beach. Limited public transportation (Go Line) is available, the closest stop is less than a mile away. some of our guests have used Uber. No Smoking, No loud music or parties and No more than 2 cars overnight. We have a large friendly dog that likes to be outside, we have an invisible fence. He barks but is harmless. The house is on well water that is filtered and softened but sometimes and has a tiny "sulfurish" smell". Note: the horses belong to our neighbor not us.
