Our Little Hideaway is only five minutes from Sandpoint, yet very private. The original, rustic homestead has been updated to make it cozy, clean and comfortable. It's your chance to get in touch with nature and enjoy the peace the Little House offers. Outside you will enjoy relaxing under the old growth fir trees with views of Lake Pend Oreille. Deer, wild turkeys, eagles and wildlife will keep you company. We offer a 15% discount for week or longer stays. Our Little House has been updated, but still has the "old homestead" feel. We have provided all amenities to make your stay relaxing and easy. Besides the appliances, we provide a microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The kitchen is well equipped with all the cooking utensils needed, as well as dishes , paper products, spices and oils. A gas grill is available for barbecuing. Air conditioning and heating keep you comfortable . The bed is "pillow top" comfy. We don’t have a carbon monoxide detector as there is no gas in or to the house so no risk of that You will have acreage to walk on or a quiet road and hiking trails nearby.(Within a 5 or so minute walk or a 2 minute drive). There is a forest to walk in or the meadow with fruit trees. Lots of people in the neighborhood walk the road for exercise as it is quiet and pretty. Farmy. We are available and love to talk about our town and area. We have been here since the 1970's so we know it well. We love restaurants and know them all. Happy to point out the good ones(our Opinion) and keep you from having generic fare, unless that is what you are up for. Hiking trails abound and we have brochures for that. The Lake is amazing, miles of undeveloped shoreline where you can be quite private. City Beach is right downtown, and it is huge, and handy if you want to hang or swim or rent a boat or have a meal with a view. The Little House is in a rural setting with trees and meadow around the house. There is only one house/neighbor you can see from the back/side yard. If you sit out front you are totally private, just you and the view and the trees and the peace. The Little House is very close to Sandpoint with its great restaurants, City Beach, access to miles of hiking trails, our beautiful Lake Pend Oreille, breweries(4), winery, cute downtown, and lots of recreation opportunities. You just drive down the little hill and within 5 minutes you are downtown. Guests 21 and older. We are open to pets on a case by case basis for a small fee. Let's talk about it.
