Our home is clean, safe and well located. Your room is bright, airy and well furnished with private bath, a comfortable bed with pillow top and bottom mattress, windows with ceiling to floor curtains, venetion and mosquitoes blinds and high exposed timber roof. In addition, an in room fridge, kettle, coffee maker, crockery, utensils, hair dryer, iron, 110 and 220v power outlets and in room high speed wifi are also provided. Guests will have access to private room, bathroom, guest sitting room and outdoor patio. Security cameras cover outside of the house. Beaches, Boardwalk, running track, transit, fine dining, fast foods, convenience store, coffee shop are a 1 to 5 minute walk. The Garrison Historical Area, Barbados Turf Club, US Embassy and Diagnostic Clinic are also close by. Airport transfer typically takes 15 to 30 minutes. A doddle. Many amenities are within walking distance. Beaches a stones throw away. Transit is at your fingertips, frequent reliable and just $2 Barbados per passenger per trip. Many island attractions are easily reached from here. Business guests attending meetings are in very close proximity to the major South Coast Hotels; Hilton, Savannah, Marriott Courtyard and Accra. Guests visiting for Visa application purposes or medical appointments are moments from the Radiology and Diagnostic Clinic and a few minutes taxi ride to the US Embassy My home is conveniently situated quite close to Hastings main road. As such you will hear some island life during working hours. Nighttime is generally quiet. If you are very sensitive to noise earplugs do the trick. Our hot water is solar-powered and gets very hot. Please be aware and careful. We have two adorable friendly quiet dogs that live in our space. They are not as a rule allowed into the guest house but if you would like to meet them you're welcome to. Optional AC is available if desired for a supplement. The majority of guests are comfortable using the fan, a few using for sleep time only. The choice is yours. The $10 per night is payable locally and is for sleep time use. Some additional day time use is $15 and 24hr use $25. I feel that to increase room rates to include AC would penalize the majority of guests who don’t want/use/like AC. For those that do, it’s available for a supplement. Please be aware that we have four CCTV cameras covering the house. There are two at the front of the house and one at each side of the house. Please be aware that I do clear garbage and discarded food and its packaging from your room. I usually do this while you are away from home so as not to disturb you. Lost keys incur a US $300 fee.
