Feel free to ask as I love sharing the amazing things this magical place has to offer. Always best to ask a local if you want the real Hawaii experience! Kehena Beach Estates is one of only a handful of small subdivisions along the historic, scenic stretch of the 'Red Road', the most beautiful road on the island. It is a quiet neighborhood, filled with locals who love living off the beaten path, but still enjoy the conveniences of electricity and landlines. There are many areas that are completely off-grid. It's a very eco-conscious community, with varying levels of sustainability. Interesting and beautiful! Renting a car is the best way to experience the island. There are lots to do in our little corner of the island, but there is no regularly scheduled bus and ‘must-do’ things to see are scattered throughout the whole island. Reception and wifi are spotty along the Puna coast. There is a house phone available for U.S. calling and wireless internet at the house. A quick 3 mile drive to Uncle Robert's Hawaiian Kingdom has reliable cell reception and wifi, as well as grocery basics and prepared food options. In accordance with local regulations; 1) Quiet hours shall be from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise from the STVR shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sounds that are audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area. 2) Guest vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area. 3) The STVR shall not be used for commercial purposes. Our STVR Registration Number is: STVR-19-356632 Our Nonconforming Use Certificate Number is: NUC-19-860 TA -197-912-8320-01
