I live about seven miles away, so generally don't meet guests. However, I am available 24/7 by cell phone; and can usually be there in person in case of any emergency. Step out the door of your apartment, and you will be in the heart of downtown Amherst, with its numerous shops and restaurants, and its vibrant nightlife. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Amherst is the quintessential New England town, with its expansive town green and stunning architecture. Both Amherst College and UMass offer music, theatre, and other cultural events throughout the year, as well as attractive campuses worthy of hours of happy exploration. The Amherst Cinema, two blocks from the apartment, is a unique non-profit establishment with five theaters that run films ranging from art house to Hollywood features. Everything in downtown Amherst is steps away. About three blocks away is the Peter Pan bus station, offering service to Springfield, Boston, New York--and connecting to just about anywhere. Also within a few blocks is the five-college bus, which makes the rounds between UMass, Amherst College, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke, and Smith, with frequent service daily. The Amtrak station in Northampton is seven miles away, easily accessible by Uber; Bradley International Airport (Hartford/Springfield) is about a 45-minute drive; and Boston's Logan International Airport is about a 2-hour drive.
