The barn is located in Nun Monkton a traditional village in beautiful Yorkshire Countryside, just ten minutes from the York Park and Ride, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds, sampling village life and everything that York has to offer too. Cottages are dotted round a maypole and duck ponds, and footpaths give you direct access over the meadows to the rivers for long riverside walks. Round your walk off with a drink or meal at the village pub, The Alice Hawthorn. York, Harrogate, The Yorkshire Moors and The Dales are all short drives away. There is an excellent farm shop at the end of Pool Lane which specialises specialises in local meat, their own home cured bacon and sausages. They also have their own bakery for freshly baked bread in the morning. If you regularly shop on the internet, both Sainsburys and Tesco deliver to the village.
