There are stunning coastal and country walks with easy access to hidden beaches and coves. Salcombe & Hope Cove are within 3 miles via cliff top walks. There is a large diversity of wild life including Buzzards, Kestrels, Gannets and the occasional Red Deer. Hope Cove, Malborough and Bantham have excellent pubs / restaurants. Salcombe is a centre for sailing, fishing, Scuba diving and shopping. From Salcombe there are foot passenger ferries across the estuary to South Sands and to Kingsbridge. South Hams also includes the towns of: Totnes, Modbury, and Dartmouth which are well worth a visit. The area also boasts 2 Heritage Steam Railways and 3 Golf Clubs.
