Location! This spectacular brand new solar home is located just 1.8 miles north of downtown Hilo while sitting on quiet acreage in a gated community overlooking the Hilo Bay and Coconut Island and 5 miles to the airport. This space is close to black sand beaches, the botanical gardens and waterfalls! The Hilo farmers market is less than 2 miles away! Come and relax in the hammock on the lanai with tropical breezes! The unit is walking distance to Hilo's best surf spot, Honoli'i! A very quick drive to downtown and close to popular attractions such as waterfalls, Umauma Zipline and the beautiful botanical gardens. While the apartment is attached to our family home and you may see us, our small dog Hoku or the kitty in the driveway or occasionally working in the yard, the space is very private and has its own entrance. It also had sound insulation added during construction and is very quiet. The large private unit is 850 square feet, plus 200 sq ft lanai. It has custom cabinetry, bamboo hardwood floors and mango and granite counter tops. The brand new space is truly beautiful. Checkin in contactless. The space that is for rent has it's own entrance and walkway and has complete privacy. It is located on the first floor of our family home around the back of the house. You will have access to the washer and dryer upon request. The space has a full fridge with ice maker, large sink, Keurig coffee maker with complementary organic coffee, an electric kettle and a microwave. We also offer our guests a complementary bottle of wine as well as fresh seasonal fruit upon check in. While there is not a stove or oven in the kitchen, there is a single burner stove attached to the grill which is located on the lanai! There are grill utensils, pots and pans that can be used. Also, there are a lot of yummy restaurants less than 2 miles away! We are available for any questions or any help you may need while you enjoy your stay. You can give us call or a text. The neighborhood is a new subdivision outside of Hilo. We are located in a gated community so it is very safe. It feels as though you are in the country but are really close to the city with great food and shops. We are located .5 miles away from one of the most popular surf spots/black sand beach on the island and a few miles away from the local swimming spots! We have 2 onsite parking spaces. Due to the rural feel of the Big Island, a car is the best mode of transportation around town and to area attractions. The space is attached to our family home. It is an in-law apartment and has no shared spaces other than the driveway and the yard. You will need to keep the gate code with you as the neighborhood gate closes at 9pm.
