Judith's Fancy gets some of the best Caribbean breezes on island and our house is positioned perfectly on a ridge facing the sea to take advantage of them. There is nothing like waking up and listening to the waves roll in under a hot sun with a cool breeze and a drink in your hand by the pool! I am originally from Washington D.C. and have a good sense of what most U.S. based travelers enjoy. But if you want privacy I won't be one of those hosts that bother you! For families with children, I have 10 and 12 year old boys that have made friends with other children who have stayed with us in the past which is really cool! They loved playing and sharing their Wii U, Xbox One etc. But they also know that when there are guests downstairs they need to be respectful so we of course also invite guests without children to stay and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Caribbean! Estate Judiths Fancy is a gated community which is a perfect place to run/bike/hike Salt River/walk the beach in. It is bordered by the Salt River National Park which you can enter on foot and hike if inclined. The beach is fantastic for walking, it is not a swimming beach due to reef/rocks but is still very beautiful. The best part of this unit is the location, it is central to almost everything. Estate Judiths Fancy is an easy 15 minute drive from Christiansted, a 15 minute drive to our main shopping center Sunny Isle, our main Grocery Stores, the Captain Morgan Rum Factory and the airport. It is a 30 minute drive to Fredericksted and the beautiful West End. I would highly recommend getting a rental car if you are staying on St. Croix. Taxi service is too unpredictable to rely on for your entire stay. That said, I have had guests spend 2 or more days exploring Salt River National Park, running, biking, and lounging by the pool without every leaving and being perfectly happy with their vacation. To each their own! We have lived in this home since 2011 and wake up every day loving our views and the sound of the sea. It is a special place to us and we are glad to be able to accommodate guests! I do have 10 and 12 year old boys and a small dog in our main home upstairs. I have not had any complaints about them, my boys know to be respectful and our dog has been trained not to bark unless someone is approaching. I like to make sure guests have a good picture of things before renting so there are no surprises! I look forward to seeing you soon!
