Stay in a nice place next to the best beaches and avoid driving to the beach! West Side Beach House is a quaint little beach house in Makaha area steps away from the beach The West Side Beach House is perfect for people who want to come to Hawaii and not spend all their money on hotels! It's a quaint, affordable beach house that sleeps 6 and is located just steps away from one of Oahu's best unknown gems: Papaoneone beach! Low crowds, amazing swimming area, beautiful sunset makes it AWESOME! We do not have a TV... But we do have High-Speed Internet / WiFi (100 Mbps) So please feel free to use your tablet, iPad, or laptop to stream any entertainment you might want to view. We also just added a table and chairs to our lanai / deck. New refrigerator, stove, and toaster. We also added a small charcoal BBQ for those who enjoy grilling their meals. NOTE: Hawaii has geckos and small lizards. These are very common to the tropics. If this is your 1st trip to Hawaii, please don't be alarmed if you see some. They are harmless and pose no threat to people. Overall, The West Side Beach House is a nice place to stay. But if you are looking for a place to spend your days here indoors watching television, we don't recommend our place... we don't have a TV or built in entertainment system. Our place is a cool little vacation beach cottage here in Hawaii, ideal for people who want to sleep here, save money by making their own meals and get out there during the days to explore what the island and beaches have to offer. That's not to say our living space isn't comfortable. It is very! Mangoes! Get em in the morning when they fall from the tree! (when in season) Your Point of Contact is Dita. She will get you setup and answer any questions you might have. Note: Before you arrive, we will send you details and easy instructions. Overall, Oahu isn't a large island. We are located on the dry side of the island. It's not uncommon that it will be raining on othersides of the island but sunny and warm on the west side. The westside has some nice uncrowded beaches, amazing hikes such as Pink Pillbox or the closest to our house, Lahilahi, which gives you a 360 view of Makaha. And be sure to check out the Makua Cave and Mermaid Caves. Looking for a place to have dinner on the beach? Just 3 minutes away is Beach House 604. Amazing sunset with live local music Thursday thru Sunday. Also, 20 minutes down the road you'll find Monkey Pod restaurant next to Disney Aulani resort. The Monkey Pod has great ambiance and live music every day and night. We recommend renting a car when coming to Hawaii. There are many attractions located in many different locations on the island and it's best to have the option of getting out to see them. *Beach Shower We just recently installed an outdoor beach shower rinse for rinsing off when coming back from the beach. Please use this to de-sand after the beach. And please dry off before entering the house.
