You are in the epicenter of the Leme/Copacabana neighborhood. Everything that happens in Rio happens outside our window: parades, marches, half marathons, cycling tours, you name it we see it. The Olympic Beach Volleyball venue was across the street. We saw the FIFA Fan Fest, Rolling Stones, Pope Francis, Lenny Kravitz, and the annual New Year’s Eve fireworks from our window. There are two elevators accessing the apartment: the front social elevator (recently updated) which services only one apartment per floor and the rear service elevator (servicing 3 apartments) with entry through the kitchen. The house features a new sofa, art work and antiques from all over the world, Persian carpets in the living room, and mix of new and antique furniture. There is an ultra comfortable hammock in the living room which is perfect for an afternoon nap. There are ceiling fans in all rooms as well as high wall mounted split air conditioning in all bedrooms (with low noise inverter technology). The bedrooms have triple pane acoustic windows for excellent noise reduction. The twin beds in two bedrooms can be combined to be queen sized beds and there is a full sized bed in the third bedroom. All beds have memory foam toppers for added comfort. There is a 24 hour 7 day a week doorman for the building with recorded video surveillance in common areas. There is a safe in the apartment for valuables. There is a 500MB internet router with a WIFI mesh network allowing excellent access throughout the apartment and a backup portable WIFI router supporting up to 5 users, which can be rented for 10 dollars per day (Skyroam - Solis). There are four cable sets (includes access to international channels such as CNN, RAI, TVE, DW, NHK and others) in the living room and all three bedrooms. The living room Apple TV, speakers, and a 60 inch TV. All bedrooms have a TV and Chromecast. With respect to cleaning. We use 70% alcohol and similar bacteria/germ prevention products to clean the apartment. Upon request, can arrange for a self check-in and check-out allowing minimal contact with our staff. It is very safe and much more peaceful than Copacabana. There are some outstanding restaurants in the area and some night life as well. You can rent bikes across the street, rent a paddle board at the other end of the beach, or go for an ocean swim. There are two farmer markets on Monday and Thursday nearby with fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products. A one minute walk you can catch buses to any part of Rio day or night. 10 minute walk is the subway station. Taxi stands are seconds away. Uber drivers are always within a few minutes. From the airport you can either take a taxi or take the bus that leaves every 20 to 30 minutes. Cleaning is charged separately. Three day minimum. The maximum number of guests is 6. A seventh is possible if it is a child 6 years or younger.
