The Imperials Room, with a bathroom attached, is situated on the 1st floor of the private gallery-house. The unit is close to Chinatown, KotaTua, Monas, and is within 5 mins to a bus station. Currently, there is no check in/out time enforced. You may come in and leave anytime you wish! Note: You will have a room of your own but may be sharing the house with other guests. There is a bright natural light gallery-like shared common room in the middle of the house, where several of the private StarWars fan art and sculpture collection are displayed. It is a good place to relax, ponder and reflect on the Force of the universe. Ohmm… You may use the functioning kitchen with shared fridge, water dispenser, electric kettle, microwave, gas cooker and bring out the Gormaanda in you. No cooking of Tauntauns please. We hear they smell quite a bit. Coffee and tea are complimentary. The rooftop is open for all to enjoy the Jakarta breeze and (little of) sights of the galactic stars. You may smoke in the garage or the rooftop. Please don't litter. House keys are accessible via a LockMaster system, so you may check in at your timing. Self-service. You may be sharing the house other guests, but I live nearby so I can help you in whatever you need pronto. However, please be aware that you are booking an AirBnB and not a hotel. The Outpost is, by the main road of Jalan Gajah Mada, within the vibrant Kota Tua (Old Batavia) of Jakarta where food, shopping and the city's main tourists attractions are abundant and convenient to go to. By walking, Chinatown is 5 minutes away, Fatahillah Square is 15 minutes, with Pasar Ikan (Fish Market) and Port of Sunda Kelapa just edging the Square. The famous Monas and surrounding National Museum, Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta Cathedral, and Istana (Presidential Palace) are within 30 minutes by taxi. If shopping is what you seek, there are the industrial hardware mall Lindesteves (2 mins walk), wholesale market of various sorts Pasar Pagi (10 mins walk), and Indonesia’s biggest fashion and electronics retail mall ITC Mangga Dua (10 mins taxi). There are boundless of food in the area so as a foodie myself, the urge to explore and taste local foods never cease. Ask me for pointers! Design, history and architecture enthusiasts may be interested to know that buildings from the colonial era are still evident throughout. A map with neighborhood points of interests can be mailed to you upon confirmation of stay. The Outpost is approximately an hour from the airport by taxi. Moving around the city, the Outpost is within 2 minutes walking distance to the Glodok station of Trans Jakarta Busway though the best way to get to the Outpost from anywhere really is by taxi; as per advised by numerous guide books, do take only of the Bluebird or Silverbird taxis while in Indonesia. All others will 99% scam the galactic credits off you. Alternatively, you may hop on the City Tour Jakarta Bus (free as of time of this writing) or app-based transportations such as Grab. Walking around the immediate vicinity of the Outpost is relatively safe. However, always be alert and cautious as the force field does not work beyond the gates of the Outpost. Please do not smoke inside the house. You may smoke in the garage or rooftop. Please be aware that there are CCTVs in the common areas of the house to ensure safety and protection for everyone. There are a smoke detector and a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. Please check in your blasters or lightsabers before entering the Outpost.
