The condo is located in the remote part of Oahu, where the road narrows and has speed bumps, one mile from the ocean on a private road, up against these ancient Hawaiian burial grounds in a gated complex with beautiful beaches a walk down the street. The beaches are fairly secluded, and a couple miles down the road are other beautiful beaches, one with sea turtles, near the part of Oahu where the TV series "Lost" was filmed. Hike on the former rail path to the end of the island where you can sometimes see whales breaching or seals sunbathing. Peacocks roam the condo complex and the mountains and the view from the complex. Laundry facilities every other floor. Saltwater pool, BBQ & park-like gathering area for Makaha Tower residents and guests. Beach and Makaha Valley Golf Course both less than 5 min drive (or 10 min walk) away. We love that, in the comfort of a beautifully furnished home base, we can enjoy local flavors, quiet beaches, and pristine trails without the hassle of Waikiki traffic.
