2BHK fully furnished with A/C .Recently remodeled earth quake proof, modern home with wood parquet flooring for visitors needing a more spacious apartment: two bedrooms and two full baths.A view of the Swoyambhunath temple against the backdrop of the Nagarjuna Forest Hills can be enjoyed everyday. Local Buddhist monasteries and Hindu Temples are all with a 1-2 mile walking distance. The Apartment is 940sq. ft. Though the structure is modern, it has been thoughtfully designed to incorporate Tibetan decorative motif detailing on doors, windows and exposed wooden beams and brick work in the living room. The interior decor mixes traditional Tibetan furnishings(rugs and tle contemporhe wooden dresser chest) with mid-century style contemporary furniture, most of which are made by local carpenters. The wall decors are hand woven tapesteries, one of which is woven by the host. The rest are hand woven by the local women(some are single mother) who live the next building in the same compound. During the day you will find them working away on their magic on their small loom. The compound of Drongpa Suites is built on a very spacious 2524 sq meters land. There is another residential apartment rented mostly to women from the Tibet-Nepal border. together with them , we've maintained a big garden away from the crowded chaotic streets. We grow organic vegetables and fruits like avacado, Kiwi, pomegranates guavas and mangoes. .Access to the the open kitchen with toaster, refrigerator, microwave, filtered water. . We also serve homemade food for $5 per meal. . If you are someone who enjoys cooking at home, there is a grocery store and a store selling fresh vegetables just a block away from home. I will be available to answer any questions and to give recommendations for things to do in kathmandu. There will also be a binder and a few lonely planet guides to make your stay a more adventurous one. I am also happy to share a few books from my own library/ Children's book depending on the kind of books the guest enjoy. Swoyambhu is 15minutes walk where locals go for circumambulating around the stupa every morning . just a few minutes walk at the junction you will be able to hire taxi or we are more than happy to provide any more information to travel out of kathmandu.
