Kubu Shanti is an architecturally designed simple home with a swimming pool and is built from natural materials of timber, stone and bamboo giving it a chilled and relaxed Island feel. Situated on the Southern end of Gili Meno, it's a short stroll to the best swimming, snorkelling, restaurants and bars. Kubu Shanti is an architecturally designed, stand alone home, unique to Gili Meno. This simply designed home was carefully chosen and built from natural materials of timber, bamboo and stone to blend with the magical energy of this small laid back Island. Gili Meno is affectionately known as the “The Jewel of the Gilis” or the “Honeymoon Island” Kubu Shanti is a 900square metre fully fenced secured property. We have gone to great lengths to enhance a couples retreat of pure seclusion and privacy, boasting a private swimming pool, deck including a sunken outdoor lounge, luscious garden and a fully air conditioned open planned living area with a lounge room, netflix, a well equipped kitchen, a spacious bedroom for two and an open air bathroom. The furnishings in this home have been hand carved with love specifically to enrich the Indonesian charm. Breakfast is not included, however a fresh juice, fruit platter with local tropical fruits and a choice of 3 smoothie bowls can be arranged at an additional charge of Rp120,000/person/day! Being environmentally conscious people, we have done our best to make our home as Eco- friendly as it can possibly be on an Island with inclusions of a ceramic water dispenser for your daily drinking water, aluminium water bottles and stainless steel straws with an aim to keep plastic consumption to a minimum. A safe is also provided for your valuables. We are situated at the quiet Southern end of Gilli Meno, however swimming, snorkelling, restaurants and bars are within a short 10/15 minute stroll East or West of the Island or an even shorter bike ride with complimentary bikes available. The house manual is full of ideas and our personal favourites with many more places to explore. Gusde….Our daily manager has been with us for years and has undeniable knowledge of this piece of paradise and he is the man to see if you need assistance with anything during your stay! Please note Gus is very mindful of your privacy at all times. Let your mind, body and soul melt away as you relax in the silent surround of this divine piece of paradise to do as much or as little as you like. You will feel safe and secure and a million miles away from the stress of modern day life as you absorb the energy that Kubu Shanti has created for your pure enjoyment! Gusde will meet you on arrival with your own set of keys, then you have access to and the use of the entire property at your leisure. If I was there I'm sure we would do lots of talking, as it is my favourite past time.... But in reality, Gusde will meet you on your arrival and he will show you throughout the property. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like because this is your holiday and we are there to help in anyway we can. After that, your dealings and communication are totally up to you! Gili Meno is easily accessible from Bali or Lombok. From Bali we recommend Eka Jaya fast boat as it goes directly to Meno! It is a little more expensive but a much safer boat. I am happy to organise your transfers for you, all you need to do is ask! You can also fly to Lombok if you prefer..... When you arrive, we can organise a driver to pick you up and transfer you to Bangsal harbour for a 15 minute local boat ride to Gili Meno! Gusde will meet you on your arrival. When booking a flight please be aware it is best to try and get an early flight as it is an hour and a half drive to the harbour then your 15min boat ride to Meno. If you intend staying a night or two in Lombok prior to your stay with us there is no problem. Also for your return flight please allow enough time to get to the airport before your departure. I would recommend a flight no earlier than 12pm if possible to make it an easy transition. You have chosen the quietest of all three Gili Islands. Kubu Shanti is a true hideaway nestled amongst the singing birds and a few grazing cows. If seclusion and privacy are what you are looking for, then look NO FURTHER! Though you may feel a million miles away from reality, you are only a short walk or an easy bike ride from enjoying all Gili Meno has to offer on our little piece of paradise. We have enclosed a lot of information of local restaurants and things to do in our house manual hard copy for your perusal. Day trips to the other Islands are possible if you are looking for more to do. Enjoy the serenity of Gili Meno and REFRESH AND REVIVE is our motto! Visiting Gili Meno is a step back in time and being a small island the main mode of transport is by foot, however if you have never traveled around an Island by Cidomo (horse and cart) ...... Well here is your chance, and it's a bit of fun if you've never done it before! Cidomo's are available to transfer you to and from the harbour to your accomodation at a cost of Rp150,000 one way. You can also use the Cidomo for trips around the Island if you wish. Negotiate the price with the Cidomo drivers. Depending on how long you are staying, it is possible to catch an Island hopper that leaves daily at 9am from the harbour if you would like to check out the other Islands whilst you're here. Spending time on an Island is a little different to our normal reality, so please be aware it is common for the electricity to drop in and out quite often although we do our best to accommodate these glitches. In saying that, as the power can drop out at times it can cause wifi connection problems so please, if data is important during your stay I would suggest you purchase data on your phone or tablet before arriving on the Island so there is no inconvenience caused to you whilst on your holiday!
