The dining room table and chair set are made from reconstructed KOA wood, are very valuable, rare and have been likened to a precious metal in Hawaii. Restrictions are in force preventing unlimited cutting down of Koa wood ...please be mindful and use mats and coaster provided on all table tops. There is no access to the master suite unless it has been separately booked. Honomu town is a quaint old style Hawaiian town with a famous bakery, gift stores, churches and the famous Zip Line attraction. Akaka Falls lies within minutes of the house. The remarkable 4 mile scenic coast route is minutes down the road, and roughly halfway through, the Hawaiian Botanical Tropical Gardens can be visited. There's no place like this in all the Islands!!! 15 minutes from historic, lovely Bayfront Hilo Town... 2 minutes from charming Honomu Village and famous Mr. Ed's Bakery. There is a local bus which passes Honomu (URL HIDDEN) the Hilo to Kona and return bus.....................a car is advisable, though to really get around conveniently PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE MASTER SUITE IS NOT A PART OF THE HOUSE AVAILABLE AT THE RATES PUBLISHED.
