The cottage is completely fenced off, separate from the main house, entry is over a small Arched Bridge. The interior features high ceilings. is decorated with collectible arts and furnished with every imaginable item that you might wish for, even thirsty terrycloth bathrobes, spa slippers, beach towels and both sun and rain umbrellas. Your kitchen includes a variety of dishes and an array of small appliances so that you may create your own pallet pleasing meals and treats. The bed is queen sized and the living room provides comfortable viewing of a 32” cable TV. The lanai offers an environment to “die for" and a pull down shade for privacy or shelter from the rain. Simply reach out and touch the ferns while gazing at the flowers and your own private koi lagoon. The pond and walkway glow after dark with garden lighting that lends a dream-like ambiance. ………you may be tempted to extend your stay. There is free off street private parking and cottage access is through your own gated garden entry where the property is securely surrounded by rock walls and privacy fences; the space is yours and yours alone. Certainly we do not wish to intrude on your solitude, however, we will be available via AirBNB message system, email, phone or text should you have questions or require assistance in anyway. Anthurium Hale's Paradise Cottage conveniently located in Waiakea Uka, a part of Hilo Town, approximately 2.5 miles from the University of Hawaii Hilo campus in a very secure residential neighborhood. The Big Island is the largest of the Hawaiian Islands but the population is somewhat sparse, thus a rental car is considered essential. We are located approximately 5 miles from the Hilo International Airport, 3 miles from Prince Kuhio Mall, 4 miles from Bayfront (the historic downtown Hilo.) It is a quiet neighborhood but for the chirping of birds and coqui frogs in the evening. Distance to Volcano National Park is 30 miles and up to the top of Mauna Kea approximately 40 miles. Motor transportation, is essential as Hawaii Island public transportation is very limited and the distances between locations of interest may be considerable. Anthurium Hale is a Licensed Vacation Rental entity, in good standing with Hawaii's General Excise, Transient Visitor and City Tax laws, i.e. Hawaii's Hotel Taxes.
