If you need anything onsite, our friendly and helpful property manager lives nearby The Sanctuary is situated at the end of Millionaires' Row, with some of the most exclusive holiday and permanent-residence properties in South Africa. The area tends to be quiet out of season, with many homes unoccupied, though there is an increasing number of permanent residents, and Plett has become a year-round destination for visitors. In peak season (November - February) The Sanctuary tends to be filled with families and their assorted guests and friends. But our home is private and also perfect for a discrete getaway for couples looking for space and privacy. Ample parking within the complex -- please park only within designated areas. The area is great for walking / jogging - enjoy the lovely views of the ocean and valley and the wonderful houses that form part of the landscape. It's also perfect for cycling, so bring your bike if you have one. Walk down to the beach in less than a minute --- you don't even need to take shoes (although the sand can get very hot so a pair of slip slops is a good idea when the sun is beating down) Approximately 3km walk to the Beacon Island Hotel / commercial complex --- either on the beach or on Beachy Head Drive (around 30 minutes) To best experience Plett you need a car to get to the shops / town and explore the surrounding area. Recently installed an inverter to provide power to TV, WiFi router and a few plugs, for several hours during loadshedding. No smoking in the house, please.
