I am Trevor Alt and I proudly own and manage this property. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION This private oasis is uniquely located on the north side of this luxury resort. Konea 142 is the ONLY ground floor 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium home on the north side of the Konea building - the most quiet and private part of the incredible Honua Kai Resort & Spa. Oversized glass doors open the entire wall to an large lanai with outdoor dining and lounging furniture, bordering your own private lawn area – you get 420 square feet of lanai and garden in addition to 1230 square feet of interior space! From our unit it is a one minute walk to the pools, beach, gas BBQ area with Viking grills, and Duke's Restaurant and Bar. Honua Kai is the best resort in West Maui. It offers all the conveniences of a luxury home and all the amenities of a luxury hotel resort and spa. Enjoy all the features of the 3 naturally landscaped pools, 5 hot tubs, numerous Viking BBQs, restaurant and coffee shop / delis, and the world famous Ka’anapali North Beach just steps beyond. No Daily Resort Fees, pay for parking only: • $15 daily Parking fee billed separately for underground or surface self parking ($5 extra at the resort for valet). Again, this $15 per day parking fee pass on and the applicable taxes will not appear in Airbnb automatic quotes (which don't allow "per day" fees) and will be billed to you separately after you book. There is no daily resort fee when you book this condo. Across the street is a shopping center you can walk to including: - Times supermarket (open until 11 p.m.). - The 'Best Coffee in Maui' cafe. - Pizza Paradiso (+ serves gelato, kebabs, etc.). - Subway Sandwiches. - Soup Nutz & Java Jazz Bar & Grille with Live Music. - ABC Convenience Store. - Snorkel Bob's - Slappy Cakes (fun place, you cook your own custom pancakes on a griddle at your table). - Sergio's Cantina opened January 2024, BYOB, liquor expected April 2024 HONUA KAI PAINT PROJECT: In July 2023 routine maintenance consisting of painting began on the exterior of the Konea building. Our "42" stack was completed in early August 2023 so our furnished lanai is available for your enjoyment. The last part of the north side of Konea is scheduled for completion on 1/5/24 and shortly after that the grassy path should be re sodded and usable, although the schedule has changed frequently as a result of the Lahaina fire, wind and rain, and staffing and logisitical issues. There are many choices at Honua Kai . It is CRUCIAL for you to know EXACTLY what condo you are booking. Be absolutely sure you have A SPECIFIC CONDO NUMBER shown on a RESORT MAP (as seen in my pictures). Be certain that you see photos of THE EXACT condo you are booking. My condo has the most convenient ground floor location on the private north side of the Konea building and offers the best VALUE and best OVERALL EXPERIENCE available at Honua Kai. Honua Kai is running normally and all of its amenities are available including the restaurants, spa, stores, concierge, towel tracker dispensers, bell and valet, etc. For guests that book and have any doubts about making the trip - I highly recommend considering purchasing a trip cancellation insurance policy and consider adding a cancel for any reason rider. Clever Trevor Alt. -3 Massive themed pools covering acres and acres, including waterfalls, beaches, 120 foot long waterslide, lazy river, infinity pool, and 5 hot tubs throughout the aquatic playground. -Duke's Restaurant and Bar is on site and offers casual or formal dining serving all meals, full bar, with happy hour specials and pool service. -Spa with all treatments onsite on our floor of our building. -Fully equipped gym next to the Spa, short walk from our front door past the lobby. -Underground secure parking, you can park steps from the elevator that opens steps from our condo's front door. I interact with guests as much or as little as they like. I have hired a personal on-island representative Monty Richmond. Monty and I are always available by phone, text, or email to answer questions or handle any issues that might arise. I've prepared a Clever Trevor comprehensive set of useful information which I email to guests. They often rave about it in my reviews - see for yourself. The Honua Kai Resort is located on Ka'anapali Beach, consistently voted one of the top 5 beaches in the world. We are on the quieter north end of Ka'anapali Beach. It's about a one minute walk from our condo door to the pools, restaurant, and beach (you can go out the front OR the back door which locks). It is a short drive or a 30 minute 1.5 mile walk or drive to Whaler's Village and Black Rock, where you can swim and snorkel with sea turtles and jump from the rock 25 feet into the Pacific Ocean. You can have a tremendous vacation without leaving Honua Kai but a vehicle is recommended as there is much to see on Maui. I have suggestions (#1 may really save you): 1) Patrick Eismon of Maui SUV Rentals privately rents a fleet of 11 late model 7/8 seater Honda Pilots and 4 door Jeep Saharas, mention Clever Trevor for the bro deal with free Kahalui airport pickup/dropoff. You'll have to obtain his phone number from Clever Trevor after you book because Airbnb won't display a phone number here. The third row seats fold down to create a large cargo area – they’re great vehicles for Maui. I’d highly recommend calling Patrick and dropping my name before shopping the alternatives because I expect that he’ll be able to offer you a much better deal and you’re likely to get a better vehicle and have a much easier and faster experience getting your vehicle when you arrive. My experience with Patrick for service, rates, time spent getting the vehicle, and the quality of vehicles has been MUCH better than with Turo or any of the major rental companies. You can check his website, but call or text Patrick at for the bro deal for my guests. 2) Find the website for discounthawaiicarrental (be careful, they added an off airport vendor with limited hours). 3) Find the website for costco travel (applies the best coupons and offers deals and a free additional driver). I’m tempted to remove #2 and #3 because Patrick has made Trevor look Clever in all the feedback we've received but they're still useful for comparison. Although Clever Trevor has always had a vehicle on Maui, on an owner forum another owner recommended Sunset taxi. Several rental car companies have locations within walking distance of Honua Kai, but their rates seemed high so I still don't think it makes sense to take a taxi or shuttle from the airport and rent a car for a few days. Having visited Maui about 50 times, I'm a good travel guide. I email each guest a summary of my recommendations for local dining and activities.
