Because we are high up, the air is cool and fresh. You can cook to your heart's content . or we can cook for you. We, the hosts, live upstairs. We are always willing to assist you, cook for you if you want, babysit for you.. and of course make friends with you. Our children will love to meet you.. if you want. This is a place for people who want the access to the city, but also want peace, want to be able to escape to untouched beaches and wetlands. The neighbourhood is a quiet residential area. There is a shop for everyday needs also on our premises, and other shops nearby. When you want more than that, say the modern shopping mall, (and don’t want to call a cab), the top of the hill is just 5 minutes walk. From there a shared taxi ($0.30) runs down to the junction with the main road, with all the amenities of the city: wide choices of take away food and many shops. Taxis of all kinds are cheap and easy to get. Otherwise, take the shared taxi down the hill to the junction (see above; $0.30). From there countless buses pass. It is 15 minutes to the massive and modern West Hills mall, 40-50 minutes or so to the city centre, and perhaps 50 minutes to unspoilt beaches. You can also reach the latter with a healthy walk (100 minutes plus) through wetlands. The last 200m approach are on an unsurfaced road. Cars and taxis drive over it as needed, but slowly. That is also why the place is so peaceful! We welcome long-term guests and give sizeable discounts in return. We can accommodate pets if needed.
