Stay together and forget about booking tacky, noisy, dirty, cramped, impersonal hotel rooms with no kitchen, washer/dryer, or outdoor fireplace {how else would you make s'mores?!}. And don't settle on a place way out-of-town forcing you to spend half your vacation stuck in the usual heavy traffic commuting to/from Gatlinburg during weekends, summers, holidays, and special events. "It's just not worth the few dollars you may save" we constantly see posted on social media from those who have made this mistake. Time is precious. Waste it wisely. Cozy, private, and quiet, this 100% turn-key 3 bedroom/3 bathroom chalet comfortably sleeps 8: 2 KING beds {master bedroom has plush pillow-top mattress}, 2 bunk beds, and a queen-size sofa bed {mattress pad and foam pad provided} in the living room. {Disregard the "7" beds posted since Airbnb's system apparently counts a king bed as 2 separate beds}. Keeping true to its vintage architectural heritage, it provides everything on ONE level with original hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, and exposed beams. The dining table comes with a leaf for expanded seating capacity {2 additional chairs located in bedrooms}. There is a folding card table and benches for even more seating. Also, abundant furniture is staged throughout the 2-LEVEL side deck to enjoy outdoor meals, coffee, and/or cocktails "in the woods". Local grocery and restaurant delivery services are available to all of our valued guests. This lovely chalet is conveniently located near the Gatlinburg Convention Center, the Ober Gatlinburg ski slopes, Dollywood, and Smoky Mountains National Park. It is within walking distance to Gatlinburg's famous downtown "strip" with Ripley's Aquarium, Anakeesta, Space Needle, Sky Park, popular shops, delicious restaurants, moonshine tasting bars, and various entertainment. There are also trolley stops a short stroll away on East Parkway/Highway 321 that will take you all over, including Rocky Top Sports World and Gatlinburg Community Center. The Center is open year-round and offers many fun, affordable recreation options. This includes a large/heated/indoor swimming pool that is available from June to September. {Many guests simply park at the post office and grab a trolley from there for wherever they want to go}.^ Be aware that Gatlinburg is extremely strict about DUI's and there is NO Uber or Lyft service. The free trolley service throughout Gatlinburg is highly advised for all guests wishing to go downtown for moonshine tasting or cocktails and prefer not to walk there. AMENITIES: WiFi {"Ultra Speed" 400 MBPS}, 4 Roku televisions {starting 7/3/23} with up to 75 LIVE channels {paid TV available with your subscription} including local! {only streaming available at most other cabins}, DVD player with movie collection, cordless telephone {FREE long-distance calls throughout U.S., Canada, Mexico, and some Caribbean}, luggage rack, sound spa {acoustic relaxation machine} for the light sleeper, alarm clocks, hair dryers, fabric steamer, iron/ironing board/starch, electric fans, ceiling fans, portable fans, air conditioning, heating, 2 realistic electric fireplaces that emit heat, electric blanket, heated throw, portable air purifier, washer/dryer {new/stackable/full-size/detergent supplies provided}, pantry, fully-equipped kitchen {refrigerator/freezer, ice maker, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, mixer, toaster, griddle, food processor, coffee makers with coffee/filters/creams/sugars provided at coffee bar, tea kettle, utensils, dishes, pots/pans, bake ware, picnic cooler, cookbooks, assorted cooking spices, etc.}, dog feeder, hammock, 3 wood decks, a Weber charcoal grill/grilling utensils, a portable outdoor fireplace, monthly pest control service, an attached carport, AND a driveway that can accommodate 3 vehicles. 2 main bedrooms with kings have private en-suites {one provides tub/shower combo and one provides shower}, and the bunk bedroom has a half bathroom. Abundant books, board games, toys, pillows, linens, blankets, and towels are also provided for your convenience. {If you do not see a particular amenity posted here or within the listing, it is not available at this cabin, but may be at our other Gatlinburg property stated above}. Wheelchair Accessibility ~ This is a one-story house with no entry or interior stairs to climb. However, the property is NOT officially wheelchair accessible. No Smoking Allowed ~ No Cooking with Curry/Strong Spices Allowed as a Courtesy to Subsequent Guests Dogs Only Allowed {MUST Be Completely House-Broken, Totally Flea-Free, Very Well-Behaved, & Crated When Left Alone If Necessary} ~ Flat $50 Fee Per Dog and, of course, includes "emotional support" dogs. There is no limit on the amount of dogs, the size of dogs, the weight of dogs, or the breed of dogs. However, the Guest Must Indicate If They Will Have A Dog When They Submit Their Reservation Request & Advise Via The Message Thread If They Will Have Any Additional Dogs. Otherwise, a $100 fee will apply if the Rental Agreement needs to be re-drafted. It must be paid within 24 hours or the reservation will not be honored and no refund will be provided. The Owner will submit the additional Dog Fee payment request of $50 Per Dog, via the Airbnb Resolution Center, to the Guest AFTER the reservation has been confirmed. It must be paid within 24 hours or the reservation will not be honored and no refund will be provided. Dog Fees are Non-Refundable, even if the Guest later decides not to bring them for any reason. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IMPORTANT: Guest payments are made DIRECTLY to Airbnb according to their posted terms. It is only posted to inform the guest that Airbnb reserves the right to charge them UP to that amount IF there are any damages, losses, etc., at the property during their occupancy. However, guests with no reviews, or less than three {3} positive reviews, are required to pay an advance $500 REFUNDABLE Damage Deposit. The Owner will submit the Damage Deposit payment request, via the Airbnb Resolution Center, to the Guest after the reservation has been confirmed. It must be paid within 24 hours or the reservation will not be honored and no refund will be provided. In an effort to reduce the overwhelming inquiries we receive about availability, rates, holiday premiums, minimum nights required during certain holidays, and location, PLEASE check here {everything posted IS correct/current and does not need to be confirmed by us}. We are always happy to promptly answer any OTHER questions. Be further advised that all personal communication {telephone numbers, E-mail addresses, property addresses, etc.} is blocked by Airbnb, since guest/owner communication is not allowed outside Airbnb until AFTER a reservation has been confirmed. Any attempt to circumvent this rule will very likely get you permanently banned from the site if reported. MINIMUM / MAXIMUM NIGHTS: There is a 4 NIGHT MINIMUM if EASTER, MEMORIAL DAY, JULY 4TH, LABOR DAY, COLUMBUS DAY, or VETERANS DAY is included, even on check-out day. There is a 6 NIGHT MINIMUM if THANKSGIVING is included, even on check-out day, and there is a 6 NIGHT MINIMUM from DECEMBER 23RD through JANUARY 1ST. Minimum Nights are Non-Negotiable. Sorry, for legal reasons, we do not accept reservations for more than 21 nights at a time. HOLIDAY PREMIUMS: The software here does not provide an editing feature for Holiday Premiums to be added to the posted rates prior to a reservation being confirmed. Therefore, we add $50 {$100 if both Christmas Eve or Day and New Year's Eve or Day are included} to EACH night of the reservation if it includes, INCLUDING check-out day, ANY Federal {please look up if not sure what they are} or Popular holiday. Popular holidays include Valentine's Day {$100 if both Valentine's Day and President's Day are included}, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's/Father's Day, Halloween, etc. Again, this is for "EACH night of the reservation", NOT just the holidays. The above Holiday Premiums also apply if the reservation is part of a HOLIDAY WEEKEND whether the actual holiday is included or not. We submit the separate Holiday Premium payment request to the Guest AFTER the reservation has been confirmed by us since it is NOT included in the initial rate breakdown. It must be paid within 24-hours or the reservation will not be honored and no refund will be provided. Holiday Premiums are non-negotiable and non-refundable. DISCOUNTS: Our best rates are those posted and are FIRM. We do not offer any "last minute" deals, specials, or government/military discounts {although we love and appreciate those who serve!}, etc. All rate and/or fee reduction requests are automatically considered generic. Such inquiries are reported as SPAM, blocked from the system, and immediately deleted. Accordingly, we kindly ask all travelers to please respect our posted rates. ^LOCATION: This cabin is located on Shields View Drive. For obvious privacy/security/safety reasons, we never disclose the street number to strangers over the Internet. It is, of course, disclosed by Airbnb after each paid booking and it is specified on the Rental Agreement. Please MapQuest distances/mileages to points of personal interest {downtown strip, restaurants, shops, attractions, buildings, parks, hiking/ski trails, etc.} from the property's road. We are just not able to provide these types of personalized services, due to the high volume of requests we receive daily from potential guests. We appreciate your understanding. Please note that since the chalet is situated part way up a mountain, a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle is recommended when using the main/West Loop Road entrance, particularly during snowy weather. We cannot be sure about any other type of vehicle {too many variables such as age/weight/gears/HP}, so please refrain from asking us. Many of our guests just rent an appropriate vehicle for the mountains if they do not have access to one. The secondary/Loop Road entrance does not require any special vehicle. The property is located within Gatlinburg city limits, so its PAVED roads get plowed on a regular basis when it snows! Sorry, EV charging is not permitted at this property. Please look up closest locations. As stated above, "OUR OTHER AIRBNB PROPERTY IN GATLINBURG {ALSO 3 BEDROOM/2 BATHROOM/SLEEPS 8/DOG-FRIENDLY} IS ON A FLAT ROAD WITH NO MOUNTAIN TO NAVIGATE!" LICENSING: We are fully-licensed {current city/county/state license/permit numbers available upon request} and regulated by the State of Tennessee. Additionally, we are fully-insured and inspected annually by the Gatlinburg Fire Department. Always confirm that whatever property you want to rent is legal and properly licensed BEFORE you pay anything. This is for your own protection and will assure that you have a great, hassle-free, and SAFE vacation. OCCUPANCY: The posted non-negotiable 8 person maximum that this property sleeps/allows {per fire code} obviously includes children of ALL ages and your initial inquiry must include them in the total number of guests. If your group will exceed this limit, you will need to book a different property or book an additional property. Please be aware that there are, of course, exterior cameras surrounding the property that document the ingress/egress of all occupants/pets. The violation of any rule will result in immediate eviction and/or forfeiture of all monies paid, including damage deposit. DO NOT book this property if there will be more than 8 persons. Otherwise, YOU will need to immediately cancel the reservation and you will be subject to Airbnb's posted/non-negotiable cancellation policy. Thank you for your understanding and compliance. SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT REQUIRED: The Guest must provide their current physical address and their regular/non-Airbnb E-mail address within 24 HOURS after their reservation has been confirmed so Agreement can be drafted/E-mailed, or reservation will NOT be honored and NO refund will be provided. It must be properly executed and returned within 48 HOURS of being sent {Owner will have time-stamped proof}, or reservation will NOT be honored and NO refund will be provided. In accordance with Airbnb's new whole house rental policy, for legal reasons, for insurance reasons, and just like car rental agencies require, the primary Guest who signs the Agreement must be at least 21 years old {current/valid government-issued photo ID required with Agreement}. NO reservation will be honored and NO refund will be provided to ANYONE who cannot prove that they are at least 21 after they book the property, and Airbnb does not allow 3rd-party bookings. ~ We reserve the right to decline/block travelers who are local, who have posted any negative property Reviews, and/or who have any negative Reviews posted about them. We also reserve the right to decline/block travelers who do not promptly reply to messages and/or display poor language/communication/reading skills for obvious reasons. ~ As posted, the entire property is available to the guest and is non-shared. The owner does not disturb the guest by checking in with them during their stay in respect for their privacy. However, the owner is available throughout the guest's stay to promptly handle any issues that may arise. As posted, this cabin is located on Shields View Drive. CHECK-IN can commence on any day of the week, if available, and we do not charge extra for weekends. Check-in time is 4:00 P.M. Eastern Time {never earlier as a courtesy to our cleaning staff} and check-out time is 11:00 A.M. Eastern Time, OR the Guest can choose a 6:00 P.M. check-in and a 1:00 P.M. check-out if the Owner is advised BEFORE the rental agreement is drafted.
