The apartment is within a residential building. I live in the same building. It is a basement apartment with entrance through car garage. The place offers a place of refuge, exclusive and private yet easily accessible to us your friendly host, a close supermarket and inroads to the city. The space is in the basement shared with the car garage. Total exclusivity with independent private entrance. If you have a car, you can park within the garage facilities away from heat or rain. Full access from door to street. Note that it is a two gated entrance you will receive a remote control for both. We have storage facilities free in case you want to travel out for a couple of days and come back. Help available 24 hours of day in 3 languages - Arabic, English and French. I enjoy a lot socializing with guests. However recently I am heavily involved in traveling. Abdoun is a residential areas where ambassadors and parliamentarians live. It is not a tourist neighborhood. On the other hand, it means the place is super safe. You can walk or jog freely late at nights. This is what I do. We had an incident where a visitor dropped their watch outside and it was re-delivered by walking pedestrians the following day. While our road is very quiet and secluded, short-cut walks gives you great access to main road Damascus Street where the British and Norwegian embassies are steps away A car ride is needed to go to downtown ( 5 to 10 mins) or the tourist neighborhoods like Rainbow and Weibdeh. You can use Careem, Uber or walk to the intersection for taxi or ask the building attendant to get you one in less than 5 minutes. The ride price ranges from 1 to 3 JODs. Lot of guests have praised the supermarket close by. It is 3 minutes walk and opens from 8:30A to 10:30P. It has a small butchery and fresh produce corner. They also accept credit cards. There is also a mosque close by if this is your ritual. Abdoun circle is less than 15 minutes walk. It offers: sushi place, great ice cream parlor, hookah shop, liqueur shop, McDonalds, felafel house, shwarma place, great currency exchange center, a mobile phones shop and ATMs. Some of my guest actually walk to Taj mall as it is only 22 minutes away or 5 mins by car. The building attendant can run errands including and laundry and cleaning the place on daily or weekly basis for nominal fee.
