Our neighborhood went through some tough times during the 2018 Kilauea eruption. please be respectful of the neighbors and their privacy. We did evacuate during this eruption but are back living in our house again. Kilauea volcano itself is more than 20 mile away. There is a beautiful park located on Moku st. that has a huge grass field, childrens playground and a workout circuit that is on a walk/running path that goes around the perimeter of the park. You need to rent a car, because there is no public transportation.
