The "Little House" is a cute 1 bedroom house located on our hobby farm in a beautiful country setting with 6 acres of outdoor space for relaxing. It is separate from our home and is all yours. It is conveniently located only 8 miles from the Ark Encounter and you only need to make one turn to get there. We have free range chickens, rabbits, and 2 goats. We also have a 1/2 mile nature trail to explore, a campfire spot and a teepee with indoor fire pit. Children love staying here! This cute little house gives you that unique Kentucky feel from the moment you arrive. This house has always been non smoking and pet free, so it smells fresh and clean. It has a huge wrap around porch that is now screened! The porch has very comfortable outdoor furniture and a breakfast table. We have a Nature Trail, it is a 1/2 mile loop trail that goes down thru the woods and it has a scavenger hunt. The chickens are very tame and friendly, which provides many photo opportunities. Children absolutely love the chickens, rabbits, and goats! We have a campfire spot and a teepee that guests are welcome to enjoy. We have a little fishing pond and our 14 year old son Cole has a little bait shop where he sells worms, cold drinks, chips, candy, pop cycles, bagged ice, firewood, etc. We provide cane poles for you to fish with. No fishing license is required. It's mostly just for the kiddos. This cute little house is all yours during your stay. Our driveway is huge with plenty of parking. You have your very own parking spot that is marked with a sign that says "Guest Parking". After you are parked, you will see a sign pointing up a private sidewalk that goes thru the property and takes you directly to the "Little House". When you park you will see a little wagon that says "For Your Luggage", we provide it as a convenience for taking your luggage down the sidewalk. You have access to all 6 acres of the farm, where you can visit with our free range chickens, rabbits and 2 goats. We have many neat places to stop and rest as you stroll around the farm, including a 1/2 mile Nature Trail. We have a campfire spot and a teepee that guests are welcome to enjoy. Your host is located in a separate house on the property and is happily available anytime day or night. We are located on the same property in a separate house and are available day or night. We have lived here 28 years and can answer any questions you may have about the area and can assist with any directions. This is a 6 acre hobby farm located in the beautiful rolling hills of Kentucky. It has that great, relaxing, country feel, while being only 5 miles from town where you will find everything you need from restaurants to a Super Walmart. I opened the "Little House" for guests when the Ark Encounter opened its doors in 2016. I have been booked almost every night since then! That's around 7 years at 365 days a year equals around 2,550 nights booked. So, 2,550 nights with an average of 4 guests staying a night, equals around 10,200 guests that have stayed here in the "Little House"! Most guests (99%) stay here while visiting the Ark Encounter in Williamstown which is only 8 miles away with only one turn necessary to get to the Ark. You make a right turn here at the intersection by the farm, and that takes you straight to the Ark, simple and easy! I am proud that our county (Grant County, KY) was chosen to host the Ark Encounter and I am dedicated to making sure that visitors from all around the Country, and in fact from all around the world, have the best experience possible and that they leave Grant County and our great state of Kentucky with nothing but good things to says about us! After hosting around 10,200 wonderful guests, I consider myself to be truly blessed to have this opportunity to represent our area!
