We're remote owners but provide our contact numbers as well as local contacts that can lend support in the unlikely event of an emergency. Our home is designed by frequent travelers for turnkey simplicity and private independence. Your stay in "The City Different" will be centered within the intimate 40 unit condominium community under the "Big Sky", centrally located with easy in and out access for the "driving visitor". We are right off the main throughway or St. Francis (becoming Hwy 84 to points North). We are less than a mile to the world famous town plaza, 3 miles to the renowned opera house, close to casinos, and must-see cultural spots. With easy access to Hwy 84 and St Francis you're precious minutes closer to Indian pueblos, historical locations, seasonal snow skiing and year around outdoor sports, as well as cultural exhibits, world class shopping and restaurants. This is nicely coupled with comfortable availability of modern city conveniences and services like groceries, medical treatment and pharmacy along with traditional retail and personal services. Remember, talking or texting while driving in Santa Fe is a legal violation which may get you a citation and fine. City parking lots are convenient and inexpensive for preferred parking spots downtown. Parking at most (non-downtown) cultural events is generally free with some exceptions. Walking and cycling is popular and reasonable from our place as the plaza is just under a mile. A shopping mall is just across Hwy 84 from our place as well. City services include bus and taxi options (short walk to bust stop). Trains run between Santa Fe and points west including the Albuquerque - Airport and other key locations. Casinos run shuttles for nearby pick ups. Please review New Mexico visitor restrictions online to make sure you are comfortable with adhering to all requirements. Please be aware that we will forward Door codes, in room vault combination, and internet connectivity info (also on modem box) 3-5 days prior to your scheduled arrival. We are also required to collect state and locals sales taxes for room rates and cleaning service. Expect a payment request coinciding approximately with your booking commencement. The current Sales tax rate is 8.4375%. Rest Assured: HVAC filter has enhanced filtration which filters out allergens and virus threats. We have replaced heavy Pendleton quilt bedspreads with washable plush Pendleton blanket spreads. We use bio shield mattress and pillow covers in addition to traditional pillow cases and sheets. Mattress covers are sanitized and ALL bed lines are washed as part of our deep clean between guest visits. ALL bath linens, including mats and shower curtains are laundered (used or not) between guest visits. ALL kitchen dishes and utensils are machine washed between guest visits. We present our guests with new consumables as possible or otherwise sanitized and pristine for your confident use. No open flame fires (wood or chemical) or anything requiring chimney use in our kiva. Please enjoy the electric fireplace only.
