Welcome to our well-loved log cabin in the woods! This home is charming from the minute you drive up with it's covered front porch. Home has large open floor plan and oversized loft bedroom. It is located less than a mile away from the university and minutes away from town. It boasts a full kitchen, hardwood flooring, vaulted ceilings and cozy wood burning stove with a sauna for those cold Alaskan nights. Watch the Northern Lights dance outside your window. Our Alaskan retreat is approximately 1200 SF with a large open floor plan and oversized loft bedroom. UAF is on the other side of the road, and the town just a small drive away. You can even watch the northern lights twirl above you from the large covered porch outside. Sleeping arrangements include one King size bed, two twin size beds, and one pull out sofa. This is an Alaskan dream spot! Short one hour drive to Chena Hot Springs resorts. Some details are: Loft has a king size bed with sitting and desk area. There are pull out twin size beds that can also be set up with additional bedding provided. There is also a full-size click clack bed available. The main level is wide open and features a dining area, living room, and extra space. Full bath with a shower, sink and running hot water. (Cabin sized hot water heater) The toilet is in the bathroom inside. You'll be able to access the whole cabin and surrounding deck. Private drive I am native to Fairbanks and currently reside there, so if there is an emergency I can help. Vacation is to let your hair down and have more time for yourself and family, so I prefer to stay out of your way, and let you relax. Though if needed, I am available locally for any issues that arise. Its in a secluded forest that is conveniently located so as to be close to town but is still a private getaway. Driving down the dirt road is like a trip back to time. It's quiet and peaceful in the woods, where you can de-stress but not be stranded completely alone. Within walking distance to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Approximately 10 minutes from the airport and a short 1 hour drive to Chena Hot Springs Resort and Spa. Easy to get around town without being right in the middle of town. The house is heated by fuel (which is the most common type of heating source in this area) and there is a 500 gallon water tank that all the water comes from. The plumbing includes an incinerator toilet
