The deck, equipped with outdoor furniture and a gas barbeque, provides stunning views across the lake to Mt Tarawera and Kariri Point. The carport at the rear of the bach provides cover for two vehicles. Native birdlife abounds, a family of quails occasionally meander over the lawn and glow worms can be seen at the bottom of the steps in the evening. The site is private and peaceful and allows for full enjoyment of all that Lake Tarawera has to offer including safe swimming, lakeside walking tracks, trout fishing, boating, mountain biking or just relaxing. Situated near the start of the Tarawera settlement it is only a scenic 20 minute drive from Rotorua city centre and a short drive to the local lakeside cafe and the Buried Village at Te Wairoa. The nearest boat ramp is a couple of minutes drive along the road, or a five minute walk along the lake front track, and is where guests can park their boat trailers. There is a landline at the bach but no cellphone coverage or wifi at present. Tui Glen is a great place to escape to at any time of the year and is ideal for couples or small families.
