We welcome you to the Mississippi River in Brainerd, MN. We own a small resort up river & spend our summer there, so have decided to invite quests to our home for the summer months. RIVERVIEW is surrounded by water & is a great place for families & friends to gather. 2 Kitchens, 2 living areas, 2.5 baths & 6 bedrooms allow large groups plenty of room to enjoy each other yet have some space to themselves. Outdoors, we have a play yard, deck, private dock & a fire pit at rivers edge. We have 6 acres overlooking the Mississippi River, it is a quiet secluded place with only two neighbors across the bay. You are only 5 miles from Brainerd & the lakes area. 2.5 hours from Minneapolis. A note to our current and future guests - Regarding our Covid 19 response. Our location is away from the city, and unlike many businesses, we have little foot traffic and many acres of woodland to separate us from others. We have best practices in place as outlined by the Dept of Health for cleaning. We have decided to move check in to 4:00 pm and check out to between 8:00-9AM to allow us more time to clean and do laundry. We will provide pillows (In protectors), mattress protector, sheets and a blanket. If you think you want more you can bring your favorite with you. We will launder ALL bedding, towels & potholders after every guest stay. We are in this with you. The safety of everyone involved is a priority to us. We believe if we act responsibly - We can enjoy the outdoors and all our home has to offer. Take care and stay healthy. Corby & Sheila Niemeyer & Crew You can launch your boat - or rent our pontoon, and keep it at the private dock. There is plenty of space for grilling, yard games, a kids swing set, walks in the woods and sitting by the campfire. Inside we have a pool table/ping pong, for your use - wireless internet and satellite tv. You just need to call and let us know you have arrived and we'll be available if you need anything. We are on the river at the end of a mile long country road, with only a few neighbors. There is about 15 miles of river access available to you. You can catch many varieties of fish in the river including: Northern, bass, pan fish, walleye, catfish & muskie. You will need a vehicle to get around out here, we are only 2 miles from the Paul Bunyan Hiking and Biking trail. We have wi-fi available. We are in the country so it is not as fast as you may be used to. Also it may need to be re-set every now & then. Easy enough to do - just unplug wait 30 seconds & plug back in. We don't usually have any problems. We do not want to have to charge an additional cleaning fee on top of the fee for staying at our home. We do ask that you clean up after yourselves. Take out the garbage, sweep the floors... just a general clean up is appreciated. If for some reason this is not done, an extra cleaning fee of $300 will be charged. Thanks for your understanding.
