LOCATION! Rustic log Ski Chalet townhome with WiFi. Walkable to America's largest night ski resort/Mount Hood Adventure Park and the quaint town of Government Camp. Many restaurants/bars to try. World class skiing at Timberline Lodge and Mt. Hood Meadows, hiking, fishing, and lakes to explore. Only 1 1/2 hours from Portland and 6 miles from historic Timberline Lodge. Well appointed, well stocked and beautiful decor. Stay at this "whole house" for your next getaway and you won't be disappointed A BBQ Grill is provided for your use, although in the winter it may be difficult to access due to snow. A list of typical requests for you upon arrival and departure will be provided as well as general information on how to work the TV's, fireplace heated floors etc. You may park one car/SUV in the garage and store your ski equipment or hiking gear on our racks. The garage will fit a Chevy Suburban size vehicle. The snowplow comes when needed. He is local and there is no need to call. We live in the Portland/Metro area about 1 1/2 hours away. We are available for any questions by phone or email. We love the restaurants and bars in town. Huckleberry Inn is family owned and has been a staple in town for over 50 years. They have enormous donuts. Also family owned, The Glacier Bistro is the "nicest" . They serve german fare and pizza. The Taco Shoppe has great Margs and food. The Brew House while a little spendy(owned by Timberline)has very good quality food. You'll find night life and many locals at the Ratskeller (good pizza) and Charlies Mtn. View Bar. Both very good for people watching and taking in the scene. Snow park permits are required to park on the streets, resorts, and parks during the winer months. No permit required in the summer. You can purchase these in many places in Sandy, OR and the grocery store in Govy. There are town buses that will take you to and from the Ski Bowl side of the resort. Our Townhome is on the Multopor side of Ski Bowl. There are 2 entrances to Ski bowl. Check out Skibowl.com for more info The couch on the lower level is a hideaway. The pump for it is above the washer in the cabinet. Basic Pantry items are located in the cabinet to the left of the sink and well as the pantry cabinet in the hall. Starter dish soap snd personal care are provided. We will try to provide pancake mix/syrup as well oatmeal. The local breakfast places are great though too !….. please note that this is a 3 story town house with open staircases please consider this if you bring smaller children.
