The 2 bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house for added privacy. Every room has an ocean view and a ceiling fan. King size bed and huge closet in master bedroom, queen size bed and small closet in second bedroom. Lanai (terrace) to have meals on, relax in the hammock or just sit back and enjoy the view and gentle tropical breeze. The perfect getaway to enjoy day trips around the east side of Hawai’i Island or just relax on the HUGE lanai and enjoy the sound of the Pacific Ocean and cool tropical breeze. New in 2023: fast fiber optic internet! Exclusive use of the house and land. Washer and dryer included. There are almost always papaya in the garden and sometimes pineapple, bananas, soursop and guavas too. I am contactable via email and have a local caretaker. I live here full time but love to travel the world several months a year so the house will be available for a few months once or twice a year. Kehena Beach Estates is a mix of full-time residents, part-year residents and vacation rentals. It's quiet and peaceful and so close to Kehena beach (walk there in under 5 minutes). There is very limited bus service in this area - a rental car is essential. Pahoa is an under 20 minute drive and has several restaurants, banks, gas stations, supermarket and an excellent health food store. Hilo (Hawaii's second largest city) is about a 50 minute drive away and has a Safeway, Walmart, Target, Macys, an excellent farmers market and all kinds of restaurants. My house has eco-friendly solar power - the stove, dryer and hot water are propane gas powered. The only difference you may notice between my house and yours is there is no microwave, no electric coffee maker, and no toaster oven; other than that you will have all the electric power you need even if the sun doesn't come out for a few days (that's extremely rare!). The house has a stove top coffee maker, coffee plunger, electric coffee grinder, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and gas powered dryer. You will need a rental car to visit here and explore our beautiful tropical island. I sometimes rent my car to my guests while I am away and we may be able to work out an arrangement (including pick up/drop off at Hilo or Kona airport) - please ask if this might interest you. The airbnb map is incorrectly showing the location - my house is much closer to the ocean than their map shows (one house away from Moana Kai Pali Street which is the street on the ocean cliff top)
