Within 15-20 minutes' walk lies one of the well-known historical location Asan- popular for being one of the oldest market in the city where you can find almost everything ranging from food items and spices to curio and antiques. Also with plenty of groceries and local stores around you will not have to travel miles for shopping. Although we don't recommend public buses for transportation within the city as they can be really crowded; taxi and rickshaw are readily available near the apartment. Please do bargain for the price before you get a ride. A mobile app called "Pathao" has also been really popular for hiring a ride which you can use by signing up with your Nepali phone number.
