Centrally located in the 5 college area. Close to Route 9, and the Norwottuck Rail Trail. Amherst and Northampton are both less than 10 minutes away by car. We are set on a working vegetable farm, we also have chickens, goats and pigs. The apartment shares a porch with the main house, but once inside you are completely private. Come enjoy the pioneer valley. Great place for hiking, kayaking, biking and so much more. *I was a Superhost for 3 years - downgraded due to an unexpected cancelation This apartment is new construction. It was completed in March 2016. The main living area has great vaulted ceilings. It is an open floor plan, with a bedroom that can be closed off. There is a bathroom with a full tile shower. There is also a washer and dryer in the apartment. We do have 2 kids that play outside a lot. Our side of the porch may have toys and other things that the kids might leave around. We try to clean up daily, but sometimes things get left out. This is a very lived in home and yard. The apartment and back deck are always clean and unbothered by the children. We have some animals that make noise, the goats can be quite vocal at times, the chickens and pigs are not quite as noisy, but the pigs do come with certain smells that are not common in a city. We also have trucks and tractors occasionally coming through the driveway. You will have full access to everything in the apartment. You have access to the garden and back deck. You may wander around the yard. You may not enter any of the animal enclosures, pet the farm animals with the knowledge that they may bite. We will be home intermittently throughout the day. Our work schedules vary, so some days we will be gone all day. We have two small kids that like to play outside, so on days we are home, you may see a lot of us. We will typically stay out of the garden area when the apartment is occupied. We will respect your wishes when it comes to how much interaction you want. We live on one of the oldest streets in Hadley. Our house sits facing the longest town common in the country. We are surrounded by unique and historical houses. There is a sidewalk on both sides of the street, or you can stroll down the center of the common. While Route 9 is very close by, you are really not impacted by the noise or traffic. There are PVTA bus stops right down the street. The busses will take you to the Northampton and Amherst area. While we don't have cable TV, we have a smart TV that has Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and Prime. We provide a dozen of our eggs, and a few pastries for breakfast. As well as a selection of coffee K Cups and a small container of milk.
