Relax and enjoy some time in the country in this comfortable yurt located in beautiful Ridgefield, Washington! Get a feel for the outdoors while glamping in style and still close to small town amenities. Restaurants, grocery stores, U-pick farms, wineries, equestrian facilities, hiking, fishing, boating and birding/wildlife viewing are all nearby. Situated at the property’s entrance, guests have their own private area. Hosts live in the house nearby. A bundle of firewood is included! The yurt is located on 10 acres in a country setting yet close to many conveniences, with easy access to local amenities. Visiting is a wonderful outdoors experience, yet not completely remote. There is power, water and wi-fi to the yurt. The property is easily accessed from I-5 (approximately 2 miles from the highway), and the quaint town of Ridgefield is only 5 miles away with restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. There are miles of hiking trails a short distance away at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge or several local parks, and you can walk to Lake Rosanna from the property. The yurt makes a great base camp for exploring the Mt. St. Helens area. There are many nearby sites where you can view Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood. Mt. St. Helens can be seen through the trees from the yurt’s wrap-around deck. Hiking, berry picking, wildlife viewing, boating, fishing and equestrian opportunities are all nearby! The yurt is situated at the entrance of the property so you have your own private area. Hosts live onsite, towards the back of the property. Power is provided by extension cord from the house and water is at the kitchen sink, sourced by a potable water hose, also running from the house. There is no hot water at the sink, however you can warm water on the hot plate or electric kettle (provided). The toilet is a batch composting outhouse which is clean and well maintained and located only a few steps from the yurt. Please note that if you are booking in the winter, you should be familiar with running a woodstove, as it is the main source of heat. A bundle of firewood is included to keep the yurt warm and cozy. Additional bundles are available for purchase. Hosts live onsite and are available for help but are not always physically present. We aim to give you a private glamping experience and will respect your space and privacy. We ask that in return you respect our space and privacy by staying in the designated yurt area and not wandering into our spaces (the house, barn, garden, pool, etc). If not physically available, we are always available by phone (text or call). The 20' yurt is located on 10 acres in a country setting yet close to many conveniences, with easy access to local amenities.
