A stylish & comfortable fully serviced home in a friendly compound with tennis court & swimming pool overlooking the sea. An oasis of peace & quiet with a large & lovely green garden and spacious terrace with soothing wind chimes. Inc fully equipped kitchen, 2 king size bedrooms, a super comfy lounge, dining room, inspiring bar area and an exceptionally clean, tidy & caring housekeeper. We have 2 cats and are 2 mins walk from the lovely Bahraini farmers market and 10 minutes from Buddeya beach. We love our home and have invested a lot of time and energy in making it welcoming and comfortable. The outdoor spaces are very well equipped and unusually green. With plenty places to relax and enjoy the sounds of birds and wind chimes, you’ll easily be able to chill out and to recharge. The raised compound pool area looks out over the Gulf sea and enjoys an amazing breeze - even in August! It's the perfect place to swim or simply relax and cool down. There is even a tennis court you can use - it's functional if not exactly plush ;) We also have 2 lovely cats who can keep you company if you like. Our home features a wonderfully spacious lounge that overlooks the terrace with an enormous (crazily comfortable) sofa, TV & stereo. There’s also a dining room with 8 seater square dining table, a quirky & colorful bar area with our custom design bar, and plenty of sofa space. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need including a blender & juicer and a rather nice Bugatti espresso maker :). We also provide tea, coffee, herbs, spices and other basics. If you need it, you can also request to be given access to a lovely separate office. In addition to a desk the office contains a day bed which could be used for a child/small person - this is at additional cost on request. We have a large and lovely garden that includes a very large terrace with 2 wall mounted fans, a charming table & chairs set perfect for al fresco dining, a large swing seat, a sofa and even a hanging chair. The rest of the garden is spacious and very green and runs around the whole house giving plenty of room for children - and you - to play. The garden even includes a stylish pergola with more seating. The garden also includes a large BBQ, an 8 seater table & chairs set and a whole family of cool boxes you can borrow from the kitchen! We are also conveniently located 2 minutes walk from the wonderful and charming Bahraini farmers market which takes place every Saturday between December and end of April - check out the photos :) While the compound facilities are shared (pool and tennis court), you will have sole use of our home during your stay. Our housekeeper Christina lives on site but in a separate apartment so you have total privacy when she is not in the house taking care of you. We only rent our home when we are not here enjoying it, so we won't be available on site to help you but we are only a phone call away in event of a real emergency. Merlyn, our property manager, will help you with anything you need so you will never be left without support. Our full time, very trustworthy, housekeeper Christina will be available to look after you 6 days a week and is happy to babysit for an extra fee. Driver services can also be provided at additional cost if you need them - e.g. airport pick ups, meetings etc. Please just ask us for what you need and I am sure we can help. We live on a super friendly compound in the heart of Buddeya - a fairly green coastal area. We know our compound neighbors well and feel sure they will give you a friendly wave if you see them. Buddeya itself is a friendly local village with some basic shops, little local places to buy vegetables etc, as well as quite a few little local 'eateries' where you can enjoy Bahrain's famous Shawarmas and kebabs! Buddeya also has a recently developed lovely sea front area where you can go walking if you choose. Bahrain is not famous for its public transportation (!) though it does now have a relatively reliable public bus service with a bus stop within walking distance of the house. That said, we have never tried it ourselves and prefer to rely on taxies, car hire or drivers. You may prefer to do that too and we can share plenty of tips with you. We have 2 lovely cats! They will be loving there during your stay and will be fed and cared for by Cristina. If this is a serious problem for you and you are only having a short stay we can possibly arrange for them to stay with Cristina but they will still use the garden. While Cristina our housekeeper will be there daily, Merlyn is your main point of contact. Merlyn lives up to her magical name and can arrange pretty much anything you may need from cooking, driver or laundry services, to places to go and how to get things done. We are sure you will respect our home and everything in it and keep it tidy during your stay. Cleaning is provided daily and linen and towels are changed once week. If you require them to be changed more often this can be agreed at extra cost. We have lived in Bahrain for 14 years and can share many recommendations on interesting places to visit as well as great places to eat and hang out.
