This is a lovely base in the Cotswolds sitting on the lake, with a south facing aspect. Its family-friendly with plenty of activities in the area including horse riding, walks, gym, golf and even a beach. It is a great getaway for anyone, from couples, solo adventurers, and obviously families (with kids). There are all the essentials indoors from well equipped kitchen with dishwasher to high speed broadband. Oxford, Bath, Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are all within an hours drive. You have an open plan downstairs with double doors leading onto the main deck which oversails the lake. There is a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is also a downstairs shower room. Upstairs the main bedroom has a king size bed and overlooks the lake, there is also a double deb room and a bunkbed room. The main bathroom is upstairs. You have the complete lodge, sharing with the occasional swan or duck. This includes the deck and the lower deck. You are welcome to use the bbq responsibly, but please clean after use and use on the lower deck. The area is know as the Cotswolds Water Park, it is close to the source of the River Thames which rises at Kemble. It is made of fresh water lakes which are used for fishing, sailing, canoeing and water skiing, amongst other things. It has an extensive and varied collect of fauna and flora. This has resulted in it becoming a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), Trains & Buses There is a British Rail station at Swindon and Kemble with a direct service to London Paddington. There is a bus service, which stops at the front gates of Spring Lake with a service between Swindon Bus Station (about 30 minutes), next to the train station and Cheltenham Bus Station (about an hour) via Cirencester. The lodge side for Cheltenham, opposite side for Swindon. Swindon Bus Station is about a five minute walk to Swindon Railway Station.
