Kids are typically in bed by 8PM, and the nights are nice and quiet in the neighbourhood. Basement suite with separate entrance, includes 1 bedroom with double bed, and 1 sofa bed in the main area. Has large bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. Main area is combined kitchen and living space that includes couch that folds out into a bed, TV, bar, and fridge. Cooking appliances include microwave, hot plate, and toaster oven. There is a laundromat very close by, but we're happy to run some laundry upstairs should you need - just ask. Includes free Wi-Fi, hot water, electricity, TV with Netflix/Prime/Disney+, secure bike storage if required, and free street parking all the time. Small backyard is available to those wishing to chill out in the good weather. We're pretty busy with work and school, so we won't have much time to spend with guests, but we encourage people to ask questions about city and surrounding areas, and we'll help as much as possible. We're on the edge of where East meets West in Vancouver, offering a diverse community of people, restaurants and activities. Little Saigon is 2 blocks away, as are numerous parks. Personally, we love Main Street, which is about a 15 minute walk, for eating, shopping, and enjoying East Van life. Commercial Drive also a short distance away with equally exciting shops and locale. Tons of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk. For getting downtown, the #19 or #8 buses are all a less than 5 minute walk; #19 westbound will bring you downtown in 15 - 25 minutes, depending on time of day, and ultimately stops in the heart of Stanley Park near the Aquarium. If you bring or rent bikes, we have secure storage in our garage. Free street parking is always available.
