It is an 2 minute walk or bike ride from our apartment from to City Park crossing the Lewis Clark Trail Located centrally between Garden of the Gods and Bald Knob Cross Wineries & Parks in between truly Gods country Also like to note there is an adjoining Apartment both units can be rented together for larger groups depending on availablity Adequate Parking is available in the front of building. Our residence is nearby apartment so we should be able to provide any assistance that might be needed. We are located at the edge of town, in a small quiet residential neighborhood @ the end of Park Street # SmallTownDeadEndstreetliving It has very peaceful tranquil country feel. In the spring we are serenated by the spring peepers the summer brings the sounds frogs croaking locust singing of the Owls hoots at night the chirping of Robins greet your morning, And even the crow of a rooster to welcome you!!! :) There is ample parking in front of the building handicap accessible ramp. we do not have public transportation in area and sights and Explore the Shawnee National Forest it is spread out a bit so if you are planning to sightsee plan for a lot of driving time. We are at the most Central location in the Heart of SNF.... BICYCLING or WALKING or RUNNING are best forms of transportation, If you coming to Enjoy our Beautiful Tunnel Hill Trail NO STRESS at All!! The trail is within walking/riding distance of the Peacock Inn...LESS THAN 1/4 mile!.... Only serenity & peace and enjoyment of various wildlife.... we even have Deer Triplets that reside about 2 miles North on the Tunnel Hill State Trail. Squirrels Turtles Loons Eagles Chipmunks and lots of wildflowers are a few of the other pleasures on our trail.
