You can hear the waves below. You are in a secluded, yet convenient and safe gated, neighborhood outside of Christiansted, St. Croix. This property is named the “Pink House” and is well known by its guests. It’s been a vacation property for nearly 2 decades. Come down, relax and live your best life The “Pink House” is a Caribbean island fortress. The house is located on a hilltop in a private, upscale and secure neighborhood. Quiet, peaceful and comfortable, the home is just 10 minutes from historic and charming Christiansted. The home is equipped with all modern conveniences including air conditioning in every room and WiFi. It is private, comfortable and perfect for your family vacation, extended trip, remote work assignment or whatever you want! The home is designed in the West Indian style. Each room has its own private entrance. The hallway is an exterior hallway to facilitate crossflow ventilation. The house wraps around the central garden and small pond with a small waterfall. You’ll have access to the whole house. There is a beach you can walk to that is part of the neighborhood and 5 minutes away. We are not “hover hosts”. The check in instructions are listed. You check yourself in and out. Keys are in a lock box as well as in the doors prior to your arrival. You are not sharing the property with us. We respect your privacy and appreciate your business. We are available if you have any questions via phone or Airbnb. This property has been professionally managed as a rental. It is not new to vacation rentals, just to Airbnb. In the unlikely event that you encounter an issue, we have people and services in place to deal with the issue. You are close to Christiansted but quiet and comfortable. The neighborhood is private, gated with 24/7 security. The neighborhood has its own beach and historic colonial ruins for you to explore. It is a great community with plenty of room to bike, walk and for kids to play. This is an upscale residential neighborhood. It is well managed, safe and welcoming. Please wave to your neighbors when you drive by as they will wave harder if you don’t. Walk around the neighborhood and stroll Christiansted. You’ll need a car to get around the island. It’s 22x7 miles! Our internet is high speed and no passport required! Remote workers are most welcome. The price you pay for includes the hotel tax. You paid to rent our property, you’ve paid for cleaning and you’re on vacation. Don’t worry about cleaning when you leave. The home is fully stocked including the kitchen. There are spices, coffee, an espresso machine(analog), a nespresso and a blender. Beach towels are also provided. There is a washer and dryer in a dedicated laundry room with an outside entrance. There is also a gas grill bbq. The home is built in the West Indian style. Each bedroom has its own private entrance. The hallway is exterior and wraps around the center garden. This house does NOT have a pool. There are two separate patios/balconies. The master bedroom has its own private patio/ balcony. The US Virgin Islands are an overseas territory of the United States. It is also a remote island in the middle of the Caribbean. Many things in the USVI’s are not mainland standard. We want you to enjoy your vacation. We also don’t want you to have unrealistic expectations. The Virgin Islands and much of the Caribbean is less developed than the mainland. Our architecture is different, our roads aren’t as good and things operate much more slowly. Your idea of a tropical island life may differ from the reality of a tropical island life. Please visit the Caribbean, the Virgin Islands, St. Croix and our home with realistic expectations of a remote region that is surrounded by saltwater, is subject to catastrophic hurricanes, may be governed differently that suburban Indiana, have a different ethnic majority than what you are accustomed to and different accents.
