The rooms at Ashram Sri Lanka are very special designed Eco-friendly architecture, so please see the photos of the room before you come. we are a non-profitable organization although we like to emphasize that it is not our wish but there is a realistic requirement of means to maintain this place in its pristine condition, hence we charge 14$(usd) per person (not the room) as we believe it is a very reasonable amount to cover the cost of maintain the Ashram without your donation. At the Ashram you will be charged 4 $(usd) for all the food and drinks for the day( you can pay it daily or end of the day), Your contribution will provide you with everything that you need to have a complacent spiritual experience of your life, The way of life in the Ashram Sri Lanka is to observe the liberation of life through giving-up material things, patience and tolerant. You should embrace the minimum living condition life style with respect and in time, you will gain a deeper knowledge of the content and style of life over here. Katuwana is a non-touristy village , Ashram visitors are the fest people who spend the time in the village so villagers has big respect for Ashram clients ,Katuwana Dutch fort and the Village fair is very famous place to visit , most of Ashram members very happy to have bath in Katuwana river….. Thanks At last # Always try to take tuk tuk from katuwana if not very easy to lost in the Village ------- From Katunayaka International Air Port or Colombo- By Bus , ( Best way) ------ Take highway bus from Katunayaka to Colombo fort or Matara (2-3 hrs) and get down at Matara Main Bus stand .Form Matara take Bus to Middiniya ,get down at in front of Katuwana AGA office(90-100 minutes) and take tuk tuk to Ashram sri Lanka . (10 minutes) Colombo to Middiniya Highway bus / this bus is going every day from Middiniya to Colombo (Katuwana 0445 AM) (3hrs) Colombo to Middiniya (Colombo – 0330 PM) (Note – Try to take Matara to Middiniya Bus before 17oo hrs. (6 o’clock evening) because less buses in the evening. From Tangalle Bus station take bus to Middiniya(40 minutes) and from there Change to Matara or any bus going though Katuwana and ,get down at in front of Katuwana AGA office(20 minutes) and take tuk tuk to Ashram sri Lanka . (10 minutes) From Mirissa +++++ Just come to Matara Bus station(20 minutes) Form Matara take Bus to Middiniya ,get down at in front of Katuwana AGA office(60 minutes) rupee and take tuk tuk to Ashram sri Lanka . (10 minutes) - From Ella++++ From Badulla bus to Walasmulla at 3.30 evening its comes to Ella/Kubalwela junction when you take that bus it come to katuwana AGA office junction at 7.30 evening after take tuk tuk to Ashram sri Lanka . (10 minutes) or from Ella just come to Wellawaya or Thanamalvila and take bus to Abilipitiya after just get in to walasmulla bus and get down at katuwana AGA office junction and after take tuk tuk to Ashram sri Lanka .
