Our Sheltered Nest provides a light and airy, open floor plan allowing space for family and friends to make lasting memories. We have designed and furnished our home with an eclectic, modern sensibility that we hope creates a relaxing and comfortable vibe. The house is centrally located to the heart of Manzanita, a quaint beach town with shops, groceries, galleries, and restaurants, and the beach is just 3 blocks away. The dining table seats 10, and there are 4 stools at the bar. The kitchen is very well stocked with knives, cookware, bakeware, glassware, seasonings, olive oil, etc. There are spaces for families and friends to gather, or for you to find a nook to go off and read that novel that has been collecting dust on your nightstand at home. For those who don't want to unplug completely, there is cable TV and high speed Wifi. The TV in the living room has HD cable, a DVD/BR player, and USB slot for your internet stick; and the bonus room TV has a DVD/BR player, USB slot, extra HDMI and component cables for your game console, and rabbit ears for over-the-air broadcast. We have three separate eclectic bedrooms (king and two queens), plus a bonus room with a sofa bed that can sleep two if you don’t mind snuggling (takes queen sheets, but sleeps more like a double imho). Entire house is yours to enjoy. We are available at any time, through airbnb, to answer any questions as they arise. We also have a local representative who can assist you should there be any issue regarding the house, during your stay. Our house is located on a quiet neighborhood street, within an easy walking distance to all that the village of Manzanita has to offer. We love Manzanita because it has everything you need, and nothing more, keeping it's rural community charm with access to really good coffee, baked goods, whiskey bar, natural foods, yoga space, spa, golf. It's all right there for the taking. For surfers, Shortsands beach is just a few miles to our North. Neahkahni Mountain is a great hike with incredible ocean vistas. Kelly's Marina in Rockaway beach offers crabbing and fishing in Nehalem Bay. Explore our neighboring coastal communities, Cannon Beach, Seaside and Astoria. Manzanita has something for everyone. The house is very close to the heart of town and to the beach. We rarely drive anywhere, choosing to get around on foot or by bike. Please do not ride bike on the beach.
