We are on the edge of town, but feels like miles away. This sweet cabin is peaceful and charming, surrounded with gardens, fruit trees and wildlife. Although we are within the city limits, you'll feel completely removed from the hubbub of daily life, with plenty of stores and restaurants near by. The Olympic Discovery trail runs very close by, making it easy to take a walk or bike ride. During the summer, feel free to pick a few raspberries, figs, peaches, apples, pears and even kiwis! This cabin is on the same three acres as our home, so we are often on site, working on the flower beds or trimming the fruit trees or doing general upkeep. We are also doing things like pressing fresh apple cider at certain times of the year, so if you're here at that time, you are more than welcome to join in!! This place has been our home for nearly 50 years, since we were first married. We had our son in this little cabin nearly 45 years ago! It was a funky little place back then but it has GREATLY improved over the years! It was rented by a sweet young couple for the past 8 years and they recently bought a place of their own and moved out. Since then we've been cleaning, painting, landscaping and generally sprucing up. Probably more information than you bargained for, but there you are. Our property is NON-smoking for tobacco products, either indoors or out, but 420 okay, outside. There is a Roku for streaming on the TV and there's also a DVD player and lots of movies, as well as games, puzzles and coloring books. And I know you'll enjoy sharing the herons, eagles, deer, ducks, woodpeckers, and frogs, and being surrounded with the flowers and greenery we love so much. We are both happy to help in whatever way you need during your visit, but we will not encroach on your privacy.
