The space is in our family home, which is at a 10-15 minute walk from Thamel in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our home is a 10-15 minute walk from the heart of Kathmandu, Thamel at a safe and sound neighborhood. Despite being right in the city, you will, without a doubt, be far from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city. Swayambhunath, the Monkey temple is at a 25-30 minutes walking distance from our place. Safe neighborhood, sparkling clean rooms at a friendly and enthusiastic local's home ! Rooms on the ground and first floor are not accessible. Feel free to enjoy the view from the balcony on the third floor or go up even higher to the roof. Make yourself at home at our garden and if you would like, join us to pick vegetables at our mini farm! We would be glad to be of any assistance if and when needed. We’re just a text away ! Our neighborhood is a quiet residential neighborhood 10-15 minutes from Thamel. Its quiet, peaceful and very safe. Food supplies and restaurants are easily accessible. There is a lovely temple 'Mhepi Mandir', a few minutes from our home. It makes for an ideal morning walk amongst the locals for a breath of fresh air! Our home is inside a rather residential area, hence, getting taxis right outside the gate depends on how lucky you are ! However, there’s a taxi stand at a 7 minute walking distance and we assure you will get one there. Our recommendation would be to use ride hailing app "InDriver" to get a cab right outside the door. Getting a public bus is also very convenient if you know your way around the neighborhood and we would love to assist you in getting a public transportation. However, do keep in mind that getting on public transportation isn't the most comfortable choice in Nepal ! If you happen to have your own vehicle, we do have on-site free parking facilities. If you would like to hire a two wheeler (motorbike or a scooter), we can help arrange it for you ! We have 3 cats, Baby, Nomi and Yumi, who mostly just keeps to the ground floor and the garden. We also have a dog Jenny. She is a german shepherd and is a very friendly dog. Only once in a while we leave her open as we need to be mindful because our cats are scared of. We kindly request you to be respectful as this is a family home shared by my parents, sibling and I Also, please be conscious when using electricity and water. It's these little things that keep the environment in tact.
