The Bunk Room is conveniently located in our Main Lodge making it quite easy to enjoy the common area benefits such as our cafe, bar and outdoor fire pit. This room has four single bunk beds and a spacious private bathroom. Other amenities include a closet, coffee maker, coffee, microwave, mini-fridge and free high-speed WiFi. Barefoot Hills is a 3.25 acre property nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, near historic Dahlonega, Georgia. There is a large deck connected to the main building directly outside of our cafe and lobby. Each night (weather permitting), we'll light up the fire pit, creating the perfect atmosphere for stargazing and making S'mores. There is a short (0.5 mile) trail around the property that is great for stretching your legs in the morning or after a long car ride! You will have access to all common areas on property. This includes the cafe, bar, back porch, porch swing, and hiking trail. Our front desk is staffed 8:00 AM-9PM daily. We are happy to make recommendations for restaurants or things to do in the area. If you don't see us, just call us! Don't miss our Happy Hour, everyday from 5-7pm with drink deals for local Georgia craft beer and our selection of wine. It's a great chance to mingle with other guests (or take with you to enjoy on your semi-private porch if you prefer to be alone) and ask for recommendations of local spots from our staff. While we're secluded from the hustle and bustle, we're only a 10 minute drive from Downtown Dahlonega and all it has to offer. Guests of Barefoot Hills Hotel will find nature's tranquility and endless activities. Indulge in outdoor adventures, including hiking the Appalachian Trail and kayaking on the Chestatee River. Spend the day touring the vineyards at the heart of Georgia Wine Country - there are 9 within 10 miles of the property!
