Come UNWIND in our charming 130 year old house! We are far away enough from the hustle of the city, but close enough to visit nearby small towns (approx. 10 minutes to the local dock to launch your own kayaks into the tidal river, book an excursion on a local lobster boat, 15-20 minutes to the coastal town of Jonesport to purchase fresh lobster from local fishermen, an hour to the famous Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park, and an hour and a half to the Canadian border. If you choose to stay in and relax, we offer some board games & movies, a couple out door chairs, a picnic table and bbq, along with hiking ( at your own risk) on our 10 acre property. We hope you will consider our little home away from home, and enjoy a bit of tranquil Maine. Entire home and property Always available if needed There is access to the following about 10 minutes from our home: a grocery store, bank, hardware store, liquor store, gas station, Blueberry gift/store, and the Old Ruggles Historic House for tours ( for a fee) , Wreaths Across America Museum . You will need a car to get around. We have a large dirt/rock driveway for parking at the house. We have travel brochures available for you at the house for your convenience, as well as our brother lives next door and is the Hosts/Manager for us, and will help if needed.
